Netflix Announces 'The Witcher: Nightmare Of The Wolf' Movie

The show has been out barely a few months, and it was so successful that it is getting a movie!

The Witcher is currently on track to be Netflix's most successful show, and with a movie on the way, that is definitely going to get some more views for them.

2020 so far has been defined by one TV show...

Netflix

And that show is The Witcher.

When it came out in December, it rocked the world for its brilliance. It has action, love, mystery, adventure, and just enough monsters to keep people hooked.

People were desperately hoping that this new show would be their new 'Game of Thrones.'

Netflix

But the fact of the matter is, the show is nothing like Game of Thrones.

It is its own perfect being, and hopefully lasts just as long as Game of Thrones did.

In fact, the show was so good that it quickly became Netflix's highest rated show and most in-demand series!

Considering it's barely been two full months that it has been released, that's really saying something about the show.

The success came to the show for more than just great acting by Henry Cavill.

Netflix

The storyline, although confusing at times, is incredibly interesting for both fantasy and non-fantasy lovers alike!

In fact, the storylines were so confusing for some that the show actually released a timeline of the events.

So for those confused, this was super helpful.

Especially considering the fact that the show never tells you when it's moving back and forth through time.

It even has great music!

Not only is the entire soundtrack being released, but "Toss a Coin to Your Witcher" is also available to stream now!

But because Netflix is a business first and foremost, they know one important thing: they can make even more money from this world by expanding it.

So if you're still not ready to read the books, you can wait for Netflix to deliver more content.

So now, the book turned video game turned Netflix show will reach yet another form.

A movie. Well, an anime movie, but it's the step we may need before a live-action one.

Luckily for us, The Witcher showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich is going to be attached. So if you liked the series, you'll probably like the anime.

Here's what we also know:

Nickelodeon

Beau DeMayo, who did one of the episodes of the series, is also attached.

Plus, Studio Mir (the studio who animated The Legend Of Korra) is going to be animating it.

We have the tagline for the new film (the quick and easy summary):

"The world of The Witcher expands in this anime film that explores a powerful new threat facing the Continent."

How exciting!

What we don't know is whether or not Henry Cavill will return to do some voice acting.

It would definitely be awesome if he did.

Not to mention the fact that he wouldn't have to work out like crazy to do some voice acting!
