Halle Bailey Gives Update On 'Little Mermaid' Movie's Music: 'It’s Going To Be Beautiful'

Finally, we get an update as to how things are going on the set of the live-action Little Mermaid.

There was a huge boom of information when we found out who was cast as Ariel and then for months we had nothing! Thankfully, the drought has ended!

We all remember that a live action 'Little Mermaid' is coming out, right?

Based on the success of their other live-action movies, it would be crazy for them not too.

We all know that Ariel is being played by Halle Bailey, a young singer, and actress.

And she could not be more excited:

She said in an interview:

"I feel like I’m dreaming and I’m just grateful. I don’t pay attention to the negativity. I just feel like this role is something bigger than me. It’s going to be beautiful. I’m just so excited to be a part of it.”

But what about the music?

We learned from Aladdin and The Lion King that sometimes, they switch up the music for these live-action jobs. Will The Little Mermaid be any different?

Well, Bailey has an answer to that as well!

While she has been working on some new songs, she's really excited about singing to old ones as well:

"I’ve been a fan of The Little Mermaid since I was 5, so those new songs are very exciting to me, as well as the old. That’s probably like, ding, ding, ding! My number one.”
