Céline Dion Pays Tribute To Husband René Four Years After His Death

Céline Dion's career is as bright and prosperous as it was two decades ago, but the French-Canadian singer took a moment to reflect and remember her husband René Angélil on the anniversary of his death.

René and Céline were married for 21 years after tying the knot in 1994 at a lavish wedding in Montreal, Quebec.

The pair had three children together.

Recently, Céline took to Instagram to pay tribute to René with a beautiful picture and caption.

"There is not a day that goes by without me thinking about your beautiful smile," she wrote.

"We miss you, thank you for watching over us my love. I love you. Céline xx…"

Trevor Payne, founder of the Montreal Jubilation Choir, once called the pair one of the most down-to-earth couples in Hollywood.

Of the pair, he raved: "backstage, out of the eye of the general public, they were the kindest, most down-to-earth, superstars that I've ever known in my entire career."

He continued: "Once they decided that you were what they wanted as part of the show — whether you were making the sandwiches or backing them on stage — it made no difference. Everyone was equal, everyone was important, and they went out of their way to drive that home to everyone."

They truly were one of the most iconic couples of all time.
