Chris Martin just pulled the most "dad move" of all time.
While on The Ellen Show, he shared how he once embarrassed his daughter at work and it's a doozy.
He's the lead singer of Coldplay, the British band who dropped their eighth studio album this past November.
He's also the father to his two kids, Apple, 15, and Moses, 13, who he shares with ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow.
“It’s not like there’s a finish line: ‘Oh, we consciously uncoupled; we’re done.’ It’s a lifelong commitment to constantly reinvent your relationship with your ex, which you do presumably because you have children together," Gwyneth recently told Harper's Bazaar.
“But I think we put all the hard work in at the beginning. I would say very rarely is it difficult now. We’ve learned how to communicate with each other."
"We love each other. We laugh. We have the best of each other. It’s really nice. It makes you feel like you don’t have to lose.”
Gwyneth is married to producer Brad Falchuk and Chris is currently dating actress Dakota Johnson of 50 Shades of Grey fame.
On social media, Gwyneth even posted a sweet birthday tribute for Johnson's 30th birthday.
"I can see how it would seem weird because it’s sort of unconventional. But I think, in this case, just having passed through it iteratively, I just adore her."
While there, he got to talking about his kids and even shared how he "embarrassed" his daughter at work.
“I went to surprise her, I just went to see. I took a T-shirt from the rack and I lined up in the queue. She saw me and she [mouthed] ‘Dad, get out!’
“I felt terrible. So I moved to the other line. Just holding my T-shirt, really scared of my daughter.”
Since fudge solves everything, Apple shouted, "I love you, dad" as he was leaving.
Classic dad move!
She did so by sharing an old video of him proclaiming that Coldplay was going to be "huge" one day.
While speaking through a mouthful of braces, he said, "Act of the Coldplay, they're going to go on to be such a huge band."
Act of the Coldplay??
"By the 26th of June 2002, Coldplay, or the band, whatever they are called then, will be known all over, man. We're going to be so big."
What goes around comes around, Chris!
Embarrass your daughter at her work and it will come back to bite you!
