Leaked Photos Reveal Robert Pattinson's Bruce Wayne Look In 'The Batman'

Oh yes, after months and months of waiting for this thing to give us something, give us anything, it took the kindness and sneakiness of one stranger to finally get us a look.

Thank you, hero of the day. Slinking off into the night, taking pictures of celebrities.

Whoever you may be.

Right now, DC is all anyone can talk about.

Partially because Joker is dominating the box office, and partially because Robert Pattinson has been cast as our future Bruce Wayne.

Sure, it's a wild card, but it may be one of the best moves that DC has ever made.

It's all their Batman fans have been talking about, too.

IMDb

Robert Pattinson is constantly being asked about this role.

Probably because A) people love Batman and B) they're at least internally a little apprehensive about having Robert P. do the part.

He talked about wanting to take 'The Batman' in a crazy new direction:

"The only thing that's more complicated is the rating. As soon as you make something an R-rated movie, you're freed up to do so much stuff."

That's right, he wants to make Batman R-Rated!

And he goes on:

"In terms of the character itself, I want to push it as far as it possibly can go. And I think Matt Reeves does as well. You can do crazy stuff with that part."

Maybe we'll see an R-Rated Batman in the future.

IMDb

But, then again, if Batman was R-Rated, that means they are erasing an entire demographic: teens.

So it's likely that it won't be given the R-rating.

We already know quite a bit about the upcoming film.

We know about the villains (all 6 of them). We know about the mask (or should we be calling it the top of the cowl?).

And now, we're going to see how Robert Pattinson looks as Bruce Wayne.

And Pattinson has some very interesting ideas about who Bruce Wayne actually is.

IMDb

He did an interview with The New York Times last year where they asked him about his take on the bat-dressed hero.

And his response, well, it may shock you a bit:

"Batman's not a hero."

"He's a complicated character. I don't think I could ever play a real hero — there's always got to be something a little bit wrong. I think it's because one of my eyes is smaller than the other one..."

He goes on:

"His morality is a little bit off. He's not the golden boy, unlike almost every other comic-book character. There is a simplicity to his worldview, but where it sits is strange, which allows you to have more scope with the character."

It seems that in the leaked photos, the costume department is definitely giving Pattinson the dark anti-hero Wayne vibes he wants.

The pictures are kind of blurry and far away but hey, at this point, we'll take anything.

In the pictures below, you can see him on a motorcycle, presumably riding around the streets of Gotham...

And doing some kick butt crime fighting.

Fans are freaking out since they are desperate to see how Pattinson will look as the caped crusader.

But it looks like we will have to wait another day to see him in the actual suit!

Pattinson, as you might have been able to tell, has to work out for that new bulk he's supporting in the leaked photos.

"I used to hate working out... it's weird. In my 30s, I really like it now. I find it very meditative... when you feel like someone's not forcing it on you, it a very, very different experience, right? So, I like working out... I'm weirdly looking forward to [getting in shape for The Batman]," he said.

But be honest...who doesn't hate working out?

Everyone except for health freaks and celebrities, apparently.

But that's good, we know so far that we're going to get a Batman who works out and a Batman who wants to get edgier.

And finally, we got to find out why he did the movie:

Before you say "well duh, because he got to play Batman and Batman freaking rules," know that what he has to say is actually a lot smarter.

"There was something that always appealed to me about it. I feel like it sort of exists outside the realm of this sort of [blockbuster]."

IMDb

"Batman movies have always attracted really good directors and had really good actors playing in it. It’s got a legacy and a lineage to it which it’s never seemed to me like it’s been a cash-in for something."

One thing is for sure: this movie is definitely going to be either really loved or really hated.

Despite your personal feelings, you know that Pattinson is going to give everything he has for this role!
