If I could pick any celebrity to live forever, it would be a tough call. There are so many iconic and legendary celebrities that deserve to keep doing their craft for the rest of time!
If I had to pick one, though, I think Dolly Parton might end up at the top of the list.
Dolly's catalogue includes huge hits like "Jolene," "9 to 5," "Two Doors Down," "Old Flames Can't Hold A Candle To You," and are iconic enough to inspire an entire Netflix anthology series behind them.
She also wrote "Jolene" and "I Will Always Love You" on the same night!
Dolly's the founder of the Imagination Library, which is dedicated to sending any child who's signed up for it a free book every month until they start school.
Great music, great philanthropy, and a great personality — is there anything Dolly can't do?
Short answer: no. She can even release music from beyond the grave!
"For me, as far as what I hope my music will be left behind, I hope that it will always live. I would like to think that I’ve left some good pieces of music," she said
"There’s enough stuff to go on forever with my music, to do compilation albums, to do new and original stuff, and I am purposely trying to put songs down for that purpose," Dolly revealed, stating that she's recorded lone vocal tracks so that producers will be able to create new music with those tracks after she's gone.
"I’m one of those people that believe in being prepared. I don’t want to ever leave my stuff in the same shape like Prince or Aretha [Franklin], or anybody that don’t plan ahead with that.”
Looks like we'll all be enjoying Dolly for generations to come!
