Gwyneth Paltrow Says Her 'Sex Life Is Over' Since Moving In With Her Husband

Gwyneth Paltrow is experiencing all the highs and lows that come with marriage.

In a new interview, the retired actress just revealed that her "sex life is over" since moving in with her husband.

Gwyneth Paltrow is no stranger to making controversial headlines about marriage.

This is the woman who invented the term "conscious uncoupling," after all, when she and Coldplay's Chris Martin announced their divorce in 2014.

Then, after getting remarried, she revealed that she and her new husband didn't even live together.

The mom, actress, and founder of the lifestyle brand Goop tied the knot with Brad Falchuk, a movie and film producer, in September 2018 after three years of dating.

The pair first met while on the set of 'Glee' in 2010.

They also worked together during the Netflix series The Politician, where Paltrow played a supporting role.

“Oh, all my married friends say that the way we live sounds ideal and we shouldn’t change a thing,” Paltrow told "The Sunday Times" about spending only four nights a week with Brad.

She also explained how her intimacy coach (yep, she has one of those) approved of their unconventional living arrangement.

She said that it gave their marriage “polarity.”

Gwyneth couldn't help but gush about their unorthodox marriage while speaking to "InStyle" this past August.

“Married life has been really good. We took a year to let everybody [in the family] take it in and let the dust settle. And now we’re moving in together this month,” Paltrow said.

“I adore my husband. He’s brilliant and deeply kind. I feel like he’s a real equal too. And he pushes me in the best ways. I really like being married. It’s fun.”

So cute!

After a year of living apart, the couple finally moved in together last summer.

This was a big deal for more reasons than one since it also meant merging their families (both parents have two kids from previous marriages).

For Brad, this is Isabella and Brody and for Gwyneth, it's Apple and Moses.

Based on what she recently admitted, though, it looks like Paltrow might regret not living separately for longer.

In a new interview with Harper's Bazaar, she shared how her "sex life is over" since moving in with her husband.

“I thought it was really interesting how resonant that was for people,” she said.

“One of my best friends was like, ‘That is my dream. Don’t ever move in.’"

She continued: "I think it certainly helps with preserving mystery and also preserving the idea that this person has their own life."

"So this is something I’m trying to remain aware of now as we merge together.”

During her interview with "Harper's Bazaar," Paltrow also revealed how her relationship with her ex-husband Chris Martin has evolved.

“It’s not like there’s a finish line: ‘Oh, we consciously uncoupled; we’re done.’ It’s a lifelong commitment to constantly reinvent your relationship with your ex, which you do presumably because you have children together," she explained.

"I don’t see a reason to do it if you don’t have children together. Some people do. But I think we put all the hard work in at the beginning."

"I would say very rarely is it difficult now. We’ve learned how to communicate with each other. We love each other. We laugh. We have the best of each other. It’s really nice. It makes you feel like you don’t have to lose.”

Speaking of friendly exes, both Gwyneth and Chris are friends with each other's new partners.

Gwyneth has even called Dakota Johnson, Martin's new girlfriend, "fantastic."

This past summer, the foursome even all hung out together in the Hamptons.

Her sexless marriage wasn't the only shocking revelation Paltrow made during her interview.

She also revealed that she has "semi-retired" from acting.

“Literally never—nev-er,” she said, when asked about ever getting the acting itch again.

“When I was acting I really burned myself out. When the flywheel kicked in, I was doing three to five movies a year. I really got to the point where even the little things, like sitting in the van going to set, getting your makeup touch-ups, and everything—I really don’t know that I can bear it."

She continued:

"The last movie I starred in, I was pregnant with my daughter. It was a movie called Proof, an adaptation of a play I did in London, and I was like, ‘I’ve had it. I can’t do this anymore.’ I had morning sickness and I was dying, and I had these five-page monologues."

"So when I had her, I knew I was going to take a big chunk of time off. And I’ve never starred in anything again.”

Even watching her performances on the big screen has been difficult for the star.

“I vom,” she said. “I gag. I hate it.”

With all this time freed up from quitting acting, Gwyneth plans to make "Goop" her main priority.

You can even catch the CEO and Founder in The Goop Lab when it drops on Netflix on January 24.

The six-episode series is a lifestyle show that basically brings "Goop" to life.

“What we try to do at Goop is explore ideas that may seem out there or too scary,” says Goop’s chief content officer Elise Loehnen in the trailer.

When she's not busy with "Goop," hopefully she can devote more "time" to her hubbie... if you catch my drift.

Sex life or not, though, Brad shared to Vanity Fair how in awe he is to be Gwyneth's husband.

Based on his sweet words, it sounds like someone's (finally) getting lucky tonight!

"All that curiosity and humility and non-judgment and desire for growth, and openness and excitement about the world."

"It’s like, well, when that’s your wife, how do you not have the same approach?”

Aww!

“There’s a public Gwyneth Paltrow, and there are all these ideas about who that is,” he said.

“And the reality is, the real Gwyneth Paltrow is so much more amazing, so much more than that, and that’s the one that I keep getting struck by and can’t believe I’m married to."
