Brad Pitt Joked About The 'Titanic' At The Golden Globes And Leonardo DiCaprio Loved It

After winning a Golden Globe award for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama, for his role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Brad Pitt dedicated his acceptance speech to his number one hombre, Leonardo DiCaprio.

But the real cherry on top was his hilarious nod to the Titanic.

Ah, award shows.

What's not to love about laying in bed in your pajamas with -$17 in your bank account, judging celebrity red carpet looks that are worth more than any single thing you own?

In all seriousness though, award shows rule. Especially when Brad Pitt single-handedly serves us one of the greatest acceptance speeches of all time.

He really outdid himself.

The only thing better than Brad Pitt's acceptance speech is his bromance with Leonardo DiCaprio — and somehow, those two things tied in together perfectly.

Brad and Leo are the ultimate #BestFriendGoals.

Okay, so you may recall that in the summer of 2019, Brad and Leo starred in Quentin Tarantino’s "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" together.

If you haven't seen it yet, here's a quick synopsis:

Leo plays an actor struggling to find meaningful work, feeling as though his career may have already peaked.

Brad plays the role of Leo's best friend and stunt double, who somehow stumbles into Quentin Tarantino's fictional rendition of the infamous Charles Manson murders.

Anyway, Brad and Leo's performance in the film were obviously incredible.

As always.

Naturally, Brad walked away last night with a Golden Globe award for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama, for his role in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood".

And as I mentioned, his speech was everything.

He dedicated his speech to the love of his life, Leo.

"I have to start by thanking the man himself, Mr. Quentin Tarantino," he began. "The man, the myth, the legend."

"For this experience, for the film — one I'll never forget," he went on. "I thank you, my brother. I really appreciate it."

Here's where things got really good...

"I also have to thank my partner in crime, LDC," he continued as the crowd laughed and applauded.

He explained that Leo's previous co-stars who have accepted awards have always thanked him in their speeches.

"You know, when — before "The Revenant," I used to watch year after year his co-stars accept awards and get up and thank him profusely."

"I know why," he said. "He's an all-star, he's a gent".

"I wouldn't be here without you, man," he added. "I thank you."

And then he slipped in an absolutely hilarious joke referencing the Titanic, confirming that his and Leo's bromance is unmatched.

As you may already know, one of the most heated debates in film history is whether or not Rose from "Titanic" could have shared the floating device with Jack.

Fans have contested that the two could have both lived had Rose made room for Jack.

Others have countered that the door would have sank if they were both on it.

Whatever the case may be, Rose did not share the raft, ultimately resulting in Jack's untimely and tragic death.

So, to prove his love to Leo, Brad let him know in front of the entire world on live television, that he would have shared the raft with him, no questions asked.

"Still," he added. "I would have shared the raft," he joked.

The crowd loved it, Twitter loved it, I loved it, but best of all, Leo loved it and that's all that really matters.

Leave a comment letting us know what you think of Brad Pitt's Golden Globes acceptance speech!

Leo wasn't the only person that Brad won over with his speech.

After he gave a shout out to his parents watching back home, he mentioned that he had originally wanted to bring his mom to the ceremony with him.

"I couldn't," Brad explained, "because every woman I stand next to, they say I'm dating."

"It'd just be awkward," Brad joked. He's not wrong! Since his divorce from Angelina, Brad's been linked in the media with pretty much everyone he's been seen with.

Obviously, there was one person in the audience the camera immediately cut to for a reaction shot.

And surprisingly enough, it wasn't Leo.

This time.

The camera cut to Brad's ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston.

Perhaps they were hoping to get a little bit of drama from doing so, but it looked like Jen approved of the joke, given that she laughed along.

The most important thing to take away from Brad's speech is simple enough.

Brad left us with a pretty simple direction: "If you see a chance to be kind to someone tomorrow, take it. I think we need it."

If that kindness includes sharing a raft made out of a floating door, then even better!
