TLC's New Show About Foot Doctors Is The New 'Pimple Popper'

As if! There will never be another show as disturbing as Dr. Pimple Popper. It has some of the grossest things on TV!

Well, then again, maybe we should give this show a chance to make us sick. But the chances of it being too much for some people are really, really high.

Ah, good ol' TLC.

TLC

The Learning Channel.

Where we learn about people who are different from the average person, about people with disabilities or diseases that you might not see or hear about every day.

It has been a staple of our lives for quite some time now.

TLC

But when we here at Diply aren't focusing on what the people from My 600 Pound Life are doing, or how cute the children from Little People, Big World look with their parents...

There's a good chance we'll be focusing on 'Dr. Pimple Popper.'

TLC

We've spent a lot of time on the good doctor on this website, much to the delight of some of you, but much to the dismay of others who don't have iron stomachs.

So everyone knows about 'Dr. Pimple Popper,' right?

TLC

Sure you do!

For a while, it was all we were covering until yours truly finally threw his hands up and said: "We're just going to do one article with like 50 pimple pops so these sickos can get their fill."

She was the queen of gross for a while.

TLC

Popping pimples is probably one of the grossest internet phenomenons I've ever seen (and remember some of us grew up during the BME Pain Olympics).

And yet, some people find this soothing.

Well, there may be a new Sheriff of Gross in town.

TLC

Meet the people behind My Feet Are Killing Me, Dr. Ebonie Vincent and Dr. Brad Schaeffer, two feet and ankle surgeons that deal with feet.

Trust me, it ain't pretty.

It may not be pretty, but we have to remember that these are real people who have issues, some of which are life-threatening.

TLC

Then again, life-threatening injuries sure do make for some compelling, dramatic, and overall good TV.

Just ask the people behind 'Grey's Anatomy.'

TLC

Or any other medical drama you've ever watched.

There's a trailer for the first season already out, and in it, you can see that both Dr. Ebonie Vincent and Dr. Brad Schaeffer have issues during their surgeries.

But remember, once again, all of this is real.

TLC

Sure, it's reality TV so it's probably got some scripted moments, but the lives on the line out here are not actors like on other TV shows...

They're real people.

TLC

And don't think that TLC would shy away from showing people getting seriously hurt on TV.

I've seen them show reruns of Live PD! on that channel, and that show isn't for the faint of heart.

This show is going to be high intensity, it's going to be full of moments that make you want to wretch.

TLC

But it's going to have some heartwarming moments as well.

After all, when you spend so long on disgusting things, you have to follow it up with something that will make you smile.

So it'll be good, but one question remains...

TLC

Can it take over Dr. Pimple Popper's throne as the show that people who get pleasure from seeing cysts and imperfections removed watch?

If those people had to choose, which one will they go to?

'Dr. Pimple Popper' might have the edge...

TLC

Because My Feet Are Killing Me has to focus on people's feet, whereas Dr. Pimple Popper can go anywhere on a person's body.

We could be on the head one moment, and on the leg another.

But then again, how tired are people of seeing the same cysts and pimples being popped over and over again?

TLC

Perhaps it's time for us to see whatever interesting things grow on feet.

TLC sure is a strange place.

Wait! We can see what grows on people's feet!

TLC

Turns out My Feet Are Killing Me has a trailer out, and it's... well, there's a disclaimer at the beginning warning you that the trailer is not for the faint of heart.

Here's the trailer:

If this is your kind of show, then I'm really happy that you've found something you love.

The fact that you can stomach this is quite an accomplishment, so good for you!

What, you're still here?

You saw the trailer, you know what network it's going to be on. It airs... Well, the first episode already aired on January 2nd at 10 PM Eastern Time, so it'll probably be on the same time for the second episode.

Oh, I know why you're here...

IMDb

You want to look at some pictures and videos of people's gross feet, don't you? You sick puppy, alright I'll indulge you. But be warned, these next couple of photos are not for the faint for heart...

We have a video from the first episode...

TLC

But we'd like to show off some stills first, just so you can appreciate the gravity of the situation.

Remember, these next couple of pictures might scar you a little (but if you made it this far, you're into this kind of stuff).

Are you ready for this?

TLC

As you can see. Dr. Ebonie is slowly sliding off the bandage, waiting to reveal what is beneath the foot.

Are you sure you're ready? Surely sure? Arlight, here we go...

JUST KIDDING!

There is no way we are going to force the picture on you unwillingly.

You'll have to read on and watch the video if you want to destroy your eyes and see the foot for yourself.

Here's the video:

And yeah, it's as gross in motion as it is in still imagery. Why would people agree to put this on TV?

Do they get a discount on their medical expenses? Who knows.
