Kristen Bell Wears Gloves In The Pool, And The Internet Thinks She's A Genius For It

I believe I speak for everyone when I say that would never turn down a friendship with Kristen Bell. In terms of celebrities who seem like actual decent human beings, she's pretty up there.

And the more I learn about how freakin' weird she is, the more I want her as a gal pal.

Case in point: This photo of her wearing gloves in the pool.

Now, in most aquatic situations, gloves are reserved for sports. But in this photo, Kristen looks to be simply enjoying a day in the pool.

So, what's the deal?

Well, according to her husband, Dax Shepard, wearing gloves is one of Kristen's quirky summer hacks.

"My bride wears gloves in the pool because she hates the feel of pruney finger tips on skin. #Hollyweird #iloveher," wrote Dax in the photo's caption.

I'll let you process the unbearable cuteness of Dax and Kristen's relationship before we move on.

Processed it? Alright.

Anyway, it turns out that Kristen's fear of pruney fingers is a popular one, as a number of people commented on the photo claiming that they, too, loathe the sensation of wrinkly digits.

Others, who may not have thought of wearing gloves to prevent pruney fingers, thought Kristen was a modern-day Einstein.

As for myself, this is the first time I've heard of this phobia.

And whether you have this fear or not, you've gotta admit: It's a little strange. That said, Kristen's hack is pretty genius in that it protects her fingers while only causing minimal stares from strangers, I'm sure.I would totally befriend this weirdo.

Now, Kristen Bell may represent BFF goals, but Kristen and Dax are relationship goals.

Oh, you want proof of that statement? I thought you'd never ask.

Earlier this year, for Valentine's Day, Kristen shared a list of things that keep her and Dax's relationship strong.

"Vulnerability always begets connection and intimacy," began Kristen. "Stay vulnerable with each other."

"In 10 years, when the dopamine has waned, remember: life is a crazy ride. It's a privilege to go through it with a partner," continued Kristen.

Dax and Kristen got hitched in October 2013, which means they're currently going five years strong!

Kristen's next tip was this: "Take necessary separateness. It will make your marriage better."

If your intention is to be together for the rest of your lives, it's probably healthy to set spend some of that time apart.

"Loving someone despite their faults, failings, or character defects, is the most powerful loving you can do," added Kristen.

For example, loving someone despite the fact that they can't go swimming without wearing gloves.

Although, that's not really a "character defect" — it's more of a character quirk.

"Rejoice in what makes the other person happy, and allow them their individual interests," continued Kristen.

Basically, don't judge your partner for watching The Bachelorette, OK? It's high-quality, low-quality TV.

Kristen's final piece of advice is this: "Know that everyone is doing the best they can with what they've got. So get a bigger emotional toolbox to fix your problems."

From the sounds of it, Dax and Kristen have the secrets to a healthy relationship all figured out.

I'm just going to combine everything and say that these two are best friend couple goals.
