Harley Quinn's Real 'Superpower' According To 'Birds Of Prey' Director

What? Well, this ought to be interesting. Is it that her insanity makes her somewhat impervious to pain (kind of like her ex-boyfriend The Joker).

Or is it that she has unnaturally good skills with an oversized comedy hammer?

There really is only one way to find out, isn't there? Read on!

We all know what the real point of 'Suicide Squad' was...

It wasn't to make money (or at least I hope it wasn't) it was to introduce the world to Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn.

Not since Arleen Sorkin have we seen someone so perfect for the role.

And now, she's got a new movie coming out.

Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is coming out soon, and the buzz has been immense.

Recently, the director of the movie Cathy Yan talked about Harley's portrayal in the film.

First, she spoke about Quinn's 'superpower'

"I think there's such a duality in Harley Quinn, even in just the blue and the pink, and Dr. Harleen Quinzel versus Harley Quinn. Both sides of her are there, and she’s still very much the smart doctor that she once was. She’s still capable of armchair diagnosing anyone--we say that's part of her superpower."

She then went on to talk about the duality of Harley Quinn some more.

"But then she can be so easily manipulated and has really low self-esteem and has all of the issues that Joker really brought out in her. So I think this is a great opportunity to explore the woman behind 'Harley Quinn,' and explore that duality, and dive deeper into her psyche. Yeah, we definitely do that."
