Marvel Actor Kumail Nanjiani Shared An Honest Photo About His Body Transformation

Kumail was announced as part of the cast of Marvel's The Eternals at Comic-Con 2018. His immortal castmates include Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, and Richard Madden.

He's always been a cutie, but he wasn't the first one you thought of when you thought of "superhero physique."

Until now, apparently!

"I never thought I’d be one of those people who would post a thirsty shirtless, but I’ve worked way too hard for way too long so here we are." He wrote.

"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

"I found out a year ago I was going to be in Marvel’s Eternals and decided I wanted to transform how I looked," he went on.

"I would not have been able to do this if I didn’t have a full year with the best trainers and nutritionists paid for by the biggest studio in the world."

"I’m glad I look like this, but I also understand why I never did before. It would have been impossible without these resources and time.

So big thanks to @grantrobertsfit who started working with me at the beginning of the year and made me understand true physical pain for months and months."

RIP to all other 2009 vs 2019 posts, but Kumail is different.

This transformation cleared my skin, filled my bank account, helped my crops flourish, and somehow still didn't make me feel bad about not going to the gym.

The film chronicled the beginning of their relationship. I want a sequel where they tackle this whole situation.

Kumail was suitably impressed, if his response was anything to go by.

Dave, like The Rock, was a former wrestler before he jumped into the superhero world as Drax, so his praise is equally as valuable.

Kumail's wife, Emily, took to her own Instagram to share a shot of Kumail that pretty much everyone has agreed is the more attractive shot.

Sure, it's still a shot of Kumail shirtless, but in this one he's under a cozy-looking blanket, with a cat on his lap, playing video games.

Aside from the muscle, this is exactly what I look like when I get home from work every day.

Honestly, if I was ripped like that, I don't think I'd be wearing shirts anymore either.
