Safari Park Hotel Lets Brave Guests Sleep Next To Lions And Tigers

I'm at an age now where vacation time means relaxation time. And I don't know about you, but going anywhere near lions and/or tigers sounds like the exact opposite of relaxing to me.

But for some people, that's just the kind of thrill their vacation needs.

Thankfully for them, there's an entire resort dedicated to giving guests the incredible chance to eat, bathe, and sleep with some giant, predatory cats — or at least feel like they are.

Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve promises guests just the right amount of danger during their stay.

The Aspinall Foundation

Located directly inside the Port Lympne Safari Park in Kent, England, this travel destination lets people get up close and personal with some of the reserve's most predatory inhabitants.

According to the official website, there are over 760 animals across 78 species freely roaming the property for you to ogle at and snap pictures of during your stay.

Guests can book one of eight rooms in the park's hotel, or opt for a more up-close-and-personal stay in one of their lodges.

There are a total of seven unique lodges that offer guests the chance to share their space with some pretty incredible animals. These include giraffes, wolves, bears, rhinos, and hog deer.

But I think it's safe to say the park's greatest attractions are the lion and tiger lodges (or the mane attractions, if you will)

These cabins sleep up to four people and feature massive windows that look directly into the respective fields were lions and tigers roam.

You can wake up to find yourself looking a tiger in the eye, or enjoy a bubble bath while a lion peeks in front the window.

These cats aren't shy, either. They'll walk right up to the glass to see how you're doing, maybe even ask if you're liking your stay so far. They're very considerate.

Prices start at £1,000 ($1,286 USD) a night, which may seem a little steep before you find out just how much that price includes.

Not only do you quite literally get to hang out with some of the world's biggest and most fearsome cats during your stay, but you'll also have access to a personal buggy so you can freely tour the property.

The resort also offers safari tours, animal experiences, photography courses, hot air balloon rides.

If you're feeling up for a little danger and a little excitement for your next getaway, check out the official website here to book your stay.
