The world was deeply saddened when the actor of Beverly Hills: 90210 and Riverdale fame passed away suddenly from a stroke in March.

"He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancée Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, stepfather Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends," said his publicist in a statement.

After a long battle with throat cancer, the star of Dog The Bounty Hunter passed away while on vacation in Hawaii on June 26.

She had been surrounded by family, including her husband of nearly 30 years, Duane "Dog" Chapman.

The 20-year-old actor passed away suddenly on July 6 as the result of a medical condition. This later turned out to be epilepsy.

He was known for his role on the Disney Channel series Jessie, as well as Cruella de Vil’s son Carlos in the TV-movie series, The Descendants.

The talented actress who made her mark on Broadway and Hollywood at such a young age sadly passed away on November 5. She was 13.

Her cause of death was later revealed to be due to complications from an asthma attack.

The Food Network star, also known as Carl "The Cuban" Ruiz, passed from atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease on September 4.

Guy Fieri, host of Guy's Grocery Games where Carl regularly appeared as a judge, wrote that he was "heartbroken" from Carl's death.

The popular YouTube personality passed away from an electric scooter collision in London back in July. She was 35.

The horrific crash, which deeply affected the star's friends, family, and fans, was Britain's first fatal e-scooter crash.

The fashion icon and mother of CNN's Anderson Cooper passed away in June from an advanced form of stomach cancer.

She had been diagnosed with it just a month before her passing.

"Gloria Vanderbilt was an extraordinary woman, who loved life, and lived it on her own terms," Cooper wrote in a statement.

Grandma Duggar from 19 Kids and Counting died on June 9 from accidental drowning.

“Duggar slipped and fell into the pool and drowned,” the coroner told People.

"Her daughter Deanna discovered her body and alerted authorities, who pronounced her dead at the scene.”

She had been attempting to beat her own land-speed record in a jet-car when the car crashed. Her team member, Terry Madden, announced the sad news.

The music world was devastated when rapper Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed outside his Marathon Clothing store, in Los Angeles on March 31.

So many celebs, such as John Legend, Drake, and Rihanna, took to social media to mourn his passing.

The Canadian actress and model, married to Oscar nominee Demián Bichir, passed away on April 20 at the age of 43.

Her death was later ruled to be a suicide by drowning. "It has been the saddest and toughest time of our lives and we don’t know how much time it will take for us to overcome this pain,” Bichir wrote on Instagram.

The world-renowned fashioned designer, best known for serving as the Creative Director for Chanel, sadly passed away on February 19 from pancreatic cancer. He was 85.

The gentle-voiced Emmy-nominated Mary Tyler Moore Show and Everybody Loves Raymond actress passed away at the age of 70.

The cause of her death was undetermined since Engel, a Christian Scientist, did not consult doctors.

A celebrity in her own right, the beloved Grumpy Cat (real name: Tardar Sauce) passed away from complications stemming from a urinary tract infection on May 14.

She was 7.

Brian Tarantina

Police found the actor, best known for playing Bootsy on Gilmore Girls and his role in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, unresponsive in his home earlier this month.

It was later revealed by his publicist that he passed due to "complications from a severe health crisis he experienced a few months ago."

The K-Pop singer, who was part of the band f(x), was found dead in her home on October 25.

Her death was found to be a suicide. Since other K-Pop suicides, it's prompted a conversation about the dangers of being a K-Pop idol.

John Clarke

Clarke will always be known for his long career on television. He was one of the original cast members on Days Of Our Lives, after all.

Sadly, he passed away on October 16 due to complications from pneumonia.

William Wintersole

Another soap opera star to pass away in 2019 was William Wintersole. He had been part of Young and the Restless and General Hospital.

Fans can at least take comfort in the fact that he died peacefully, according to his daughter who made the sad announcement on Facebook.

The actor and comedian passed away with no known cause at the age of 77.

“It is with deep sadness we have to tweet this, but our husband and father John Witherspoon has passed away,” the Witherspoon’s family announced on Twitter back in October.
