In a recent interview on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the singer shared some interesting thoughts on dating three years after his passing.

Céline and René go wayyy back. They first met when she was 12 and he was 38!

After listening to a recording of her singing, the Quebec music manager believed in Céline so much that he even mortgaged his house to fund her first two albums!

"While I was singing, he started to cry," Céline said about the experience.

In the end, René's risk paid off... in more ways than one.

That's because, despite their 26-year age-gap, the music duo fell in love.

Céline was even by his side when he was first diagnosed with throat cancer in 1998.

Despite being declared cancer-free for more than a decade, it sadly came back in 2013.

Since René was the love of her life, she made the difficult decision to put her career on hold to be with her husband.

Then, in 2016, after three kids and 21 years of marriage, René passed away at the age of 73.

Now, three years after his passing, Céline has opened up about the possibility of dating again.

This revealing conversation took place during her recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.

It all began when a fan had asked whether she was dating again and if she would ever consider getting remarried.

"You're supposed to ask one question," she joked to the fan.

"I don't date. I don't have a boyfriend," she said.

"And, you know, it doesn't mean that I will not find someone in my life. If I do, that will be great. If I don't, that will be great."

A huge part of this comes down to the fact that she's still in love with her late husband.

"I'm still in love," she continued.

"I mean, once you're in love so much, I've been living all my life with René, he's still within me."

"I see him through the eyes of my children everyday," she said.

"I'm so passionate about life and I'm so lucky to have my three beautiful sons."

These three boys are René Charles, 18, and their nine-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy.

She then reassured fans that if she ever finds love again, she will come back on the show and let them know.

"If I would have someone in my life, I would tell you because I've been an open book all my life," she said. "But if I do, I'll come back and I'll talk to you about it."

When Andy asked what her reaction was to the rumors that she was dating her best friend Pepe Munoz, she admitted that she wasn't surprised.

"It's just that…because we're best friends, we're in show business and the tabloids and this industry is made for that."

She continued:

"Oh, that's the way that best friends hold hands? Nuh-uh.' He is my best friend and we have a good time together."

This led to her mentioning the frustrating parts that come with dating someone in the public eye.

"It feels like today, you cannot have a man holding your hand," she shared. "They didn't know anything about [Pepe]...They started things."

"Until one day I said, ‘He's gay, he's not my boyfriend. He's gay, calm down. I'm not trying to hide here. Everything's cool.'"

"But we can hold hands! We can go to the movies and restaurants. Calm down, people!"
