KFC Is Spicing Up Their Menu With A New Nashville Hot Chicken And Waffles Sandwich

At the end of summer, KFC launched a wild fried chicken donut sandwich, mixing soft and sweet donuts with crunchy and savory fried chicken.

Now, they're going back to what started their inspiration for the fall menu item: chicken and waffles.

Chicken and waffles is the ultimate comfort food.

I don't know why some people think it sounds gross. You just have to give it a chance — trust me.

If you can eat maple bacon, you can eat chicken and waffles, okay?

KFC is adding their own spice to the classic southern comfort food, quite literally.

They'll be serving up their chicken and waffles with their signature Nashville Hot Chicken.

In a press release, Andrea Zahumensky, chief marketing officer, KFC U.S. said "Our Nashville Hot Fried Chicken and Chicken and Waffles are arguably two of the biggest fried chicken innovations of all time."

"Now we're combining them into one amazing union that's sure to be the next big thing in America. It doesn't get hotter than that!"

It will really be an explosion of flavor in your mouth, with a wild combo of spicy, sweet, and savory.

The sandwich features their Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches between two waffles and a side of Mrs. Butterworth's syrup. It goes for $5.99.

The platter will be the same thing, just not in sandwich form and includes bone-in chicken and will cost $6.49.
