A New 'Scream' Movie Is Reportedly In Development

Yes horror fans, you can all collectively scream in joy before you scream in fear because there is a new Scream movie on the horizon.

Don't answer any phone calls and remember: Pamela Voorhees was the killer in the first Friday The 13th, not Jason!

The 1996 'Scream' was a triumph of cinema.

The slasher genre had become a bit old hat by the '90s, and Scream essentially revamped it.

They did it by parodying the genre and flipping its conventions on its head, while still adhering to a couple here and there.

After 3 sequels and a TV series, it's legacy has been cemented.

Ghostface is usually put up there in the ranks with people like Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger, which is not something to be taken lightly at all.

Yes, Scream is truly a staple of the horror genre.

But it sucks that we won't be getting any more. Maybe a new season of the TV show here and there, but there will never be anymore 'Scream' mov–

Hold the phone! Bloody Disgusting just announced they were doing another movie!

And that's about all we know. We don't know if it'll be a sequel or a reboot, or whether the original cast will return.

Since Wes Craven's death, a lot of people thought this wouldn't happen, including star Neve Campbell.

She said in an interview:

"Wes was the heart of the thing. He was what kept the dynamic consistency. I think it would be difficult to work with another director.”

Well, it's happening!
