Kristen Stewart On Affair While Dating Robert Pattinson: 'The Slut-shaming Was So Absurd'

When Kristen Stewart was caught having an affair with her Snow White and the Huntsmen director in 2012, she faced a lot of backlash.

Not only did the Charlie's Angels star lose her long-term boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, but she also endured an "absurd" amount of slut-shaming — something that she's only opening up about now.

In her most candid interview to date, Kristen Stewart is finally opening up about the affair she had while dating Robert Pattinson.

She spoke all about it during her debut interview on The Howard Stern Show.

If you recall, the star was photographed kissing her "Snowwhite and the Huntsmen" director, Rupert Sanders back in 2012.

The fallout from this was huge.

That's because Rupert was *married*. His wife, Liberty Ross, ended up filing for divorce soon after news of the affair.

And, as any good Twihard knows, Kristen was dating Robert Pattinson, her Twilight co-star, at the time.

Back then, it had been every Twihard's dream come true (well, except the #TeamJacob camp): Edward and Bella dating IRL!

While Kristen and Robert aren't BFF these days, during her interview with Howard, she did call Pattinson (who's set to be the next Batman, BTW) "the best."

She also seemed annoyed at the speculation that their relationship had ever been fake.

"You really think at this point, after all these years, that's how I live my life?" she said.

When Howard asked if they would've eventually gotten married, Stewart didn't say no.

"I don't know," Stewart laughed. "I wanted to...yeah."

When pressed further about whether she would have said yes to a proposal, again, her answer wasn't no.

"I'm not a super-duper traditionalist," she said.

"But at the same time...every relationship I've ever been in, I thought that was it. I've never really been the most casual person."

Even when she and Robert were dating, she had been afraid to flaunt their love.

It all came down to her being self-conscious about looking like an "attention-seeker."

Another huge fallout that came from the affair with Rupert was how Kristen wasn't asked to come back for the "Snowwhite and the Huntsmen" sequel.

She also faced a lot of unnecessary slut-shaming.

She said: "We lived in a different time then, you know what I mean? I feel like the slut-shaming that went down was so absurd. And they should’ve put me in that movie! It would’ve been better. Not to be a [expletive], but…"

"They didn't put me in that movie because I went through such a highly publicized scandal, they were scared of touching that," Stewart explained.

This was a lot for the star to face back then, considering the fact that she wasn't ever "in love" with Rupert.

"It was kind of a weird thing ... but I definitely think that it wasn't that big of a deal, and the work is so much more important."

She was also adamant in the fact that she's never slept with Sanders.

When Stern question why she never set the record straight on that before, she explained that there was no point.

"Well, who's going to believe me?" she said.

She continued: "It looked like, you make out with a dude in public it looks like you did [have sex.]"

"It wasn't innocent, that was a really hard period of my life," the actress admitted. "I was really young."

These days, Kristen has found love with someone she is *absolutely* sure of: her 32-year-old girlfriend, Dylan Meyer.

She even said that she will "absolutely" propose to her girlfriend in the near future!

With that on the horizon — plus her new movie "Charlie's Angels" coming out — everything is coming up Kristen.
