Olivia Wilde's Shocking $107,000 Monthly Expenses: No Child Support From Jason Sudeikis

On April 4, 2023, The Blast published new legal documents filed by Olivia, asking a judge to order Jason to pay child support, taking effect from the date she first filed the case.

In the court documents, the Booksmart director claimed that she had been paying for all the costs of the children's daily care whenever they were with her. 

Olivia also claimed to have over $107,000 in monthly expenses, which included almost $60,000 in rent and mortgage and $4,000 in laundry and cleaning.

"Jason is not currently paying child support to me, despite my requests through counsel that we agree upon an interim support amount to avoid further litigation in this matter," Olivia added.

While the Drinking Buddies actress alleged that Jason wasn't paying child support, she admitted they had been splitting certain expenses for the kids, such as their school tuition.

However, Olivia explained that she had been bearing a 100% of the costs for the children's food, clothing, transportation, childcare, and extracurricular activities, whenever they were with her.

The Hollywood star then asked the judge to compel Jason to pay for some of her legal fees of no less than $500,000, claiming that he was in a significantly superior position to her financially.

However, Olivia confessed that there was another reason for asking Jason to contribute to her attorney and accountant fees besides his superior finances.

According to the actress, it was also because the vast majority of fees she incurred were due to the Ted Lasso star and his counsel's "egregious, unnecessary, and aggressive conduct."

While Olivia's legal team has alleged that the actress has borne the lion's share of the expenses for their kids, a source close to Jason has claimed otherwise.

During a chat with ET, the source revealed the former couple always shared costs equally and fairly throughout their relationship, including everything related to the children.

According to the source, the comedian took it upon himself to initiate the proceedings to ensure the kids would be properly looked after by both parents.

Olivia and Jason first met in 2011 during a late-night Saturday Night Live after-party, but it wasn't until their fourth date that the pair became romantically involved.

The former couple dated for a few years and got engaged, but sadly, their romance came crashing down in November 2020. In the following years, the pair tried to maintain a healthy relationship, but it didn't last long.

Olivia and Jason have been locked in a custody battle since early 2022 when the Saturday Night Live alum served the actress with custody documents while she was presenting at CinemaCon.

Following the surprise, Olivia alleged that the public document serving was an intentional move on Jason's part, adding that it was an outrageous tactic.

Jason subsequently argued that he served Olivia the papers while she presented because he didn't want to serve her in front of the kids, either at home, school, or her then-boyfriend Harry Styles's house. 

In March 2023, Olivia accused Jason in a court filing of acting with bad faith and litigating her into debt, partly because he attempted to have their custody battle heard in New York rather than California, where she primarily lives.

A few days later, Judge Adele Alexis ruled in the actress's favor, announcing that she was rejecting Jason's request to have the case moved to New York. In the meantime, fans can only hope for the pair to agree for their kids' sake.
