The Grey's Anatomy actress took to Instagram to disclose that she lost her four pets in a fire outbreak that also burned down her house earlier this year.

Caterina Lost Three Cats And A Dog

In her Instagram post, Caterina posted a picture of her burned house and her pets–three cats and one dog- lost in the fire.

Caterina Was Home When The Incident Happened

The picture also included a shot of Caterina and her children—Arwen, 3, Paloma, 6, and Eliza, 10— all daughters who were also at home when the fire started.

Caterina Misses Her Home

Caterina revealed that she shared the news with her followers to “honor the space we once called home, to say goodbye to the animals that loved us so well, and to celebrate that we have the only thing we ever really needed: each other."

Rob Giles, the ex-husband of Caterina, is the father of her three kids. The actress filed for divorce from her husband after a decade of marriage.

Although Caterina and her kids made it without scratch, they lost all four pests. She revealed that they are still mourning their loss but are lucky they were able to love them at all.
