Internet Goes Wild Over Gwyneth Paltrow Roast By Busy Philipps

The 50-year-old actress has gone on trial in Utah for several days after retired optometrist, Terry Sanderson, sued her over a 2016 ski accident.

During one of the trial days, Paltrow took the stand in court to testify about the "losses" she endured due to the accident.

She said the now-famous statement, "Well, we lost half a day of skiing."

Since then, fans and other celebrities, like Busy Philipps, have posted viral comments to the actress' statement.

The White Chicks actress shared a photo with fellow actress, Jen Tullock, on Instagram and captioned it with Gwyneth's quote.

Twitter has also become a floodgate of mostly amusing replies to Gwyneth's statement.

"I hate to tell you this but if you're only hitting the slopes now you've missed a half day of skiing which is the worst thing that can happen to anyone," Mark said.

"He can earn more money—but Gwyneth will NEVER get back the half day of skiing she lost," added another. "So who's really the bad person here?????"

In response to someone tweeting a video clip with the caption, "This trial is fully an Adderall talk to a Xanax," another person had the amusing idea to start working up Halloween ideas for the upcoming season. "I need to find a way of making well; I lost half a day of skiing into a Halloween costume this year."

One Twitter user posted a photo of Mario, the video game character, gripping his chest in distress, with the caption, "Gwyneth Paltrow after losing half a day of skiing."

Someone else just posted a photo of Gwyneth on the stand with the caption, "This is art."

Another added, "texting all my friends "well ... I lost half a day of skiing" next time any minor inconvenience befalls me."

In the chat, one guy brilliantly brought up the Marvel actress's brand Goop.

"Half a day of skiing that she will never get back! How many vagina candles did that cost her?!?!"

Sanderson filed a $3.1 million lawsuit against the actress in 2019, alleging her of colliding with him on a ski slope at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, in 2016 and caused him to suffer a permanent traumatic brain injury.

The actress filed a counterclaim against Sanderson, alleging that he collided with her on the ski hill.

In addition, Paltrow charged the plaintiff with paying back her legal bills and $1 in additional damages.

After comparing her spectacles to serial killer, Jeffrey Dahmer, on a prior court day, the Seven actress also prompted more amusing internet comments.

Dahmer, also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal, was a serial murderer and s*x offender who murdered and dismembered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. In his 1991 picture, he wore spectacles identical to those in his previous mugshot.

A commentator on a news article displaying Gwyneth wearing the specs said online, "Jeffrey Dahmer's glasses, I like her serial killer vibe."
