Selena Gomez Sets The Record Straight About Her Relationship with Hailey Bieber

Earlier on March 23, Selena Gomez spoke out for the first time against the fan created drama between her and Hailey Bieber and ended all rumors of tension between the two once and for all

Coming to Hailey's defense against the loads of hate she had been receiving, Selena said, "Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity."

Appealing to her fans, Gomez added, "This isn't what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I've always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop."

If you need any other confirmation about the singer's intentions, Selena also follows Hailey on Instagram, waving the white flag from her side.

Hailey expressed goodwill and shared a follow-up post thanking Selena for teaming up with her against the hate and moving "past this ongoing narrative between her and I."

Clearing the air about the misinterpreted posts and videos, Bieber said, "Things can always be taken out of context or construed differently than they were intended."

She further stated, "We all need to be more thoughtful about what we post and what we say, including myself."

Hailey concluded her message by saying, "I believe love will always be bigger than hate and negativity and there is always an opportunity to meet each other with more empathy and compassion."

While neither of the two women has ever openly spoken against the other, fans have speculated tension between the two after Justin Bieber got engaged to Hailey just months after his breakup with Selena.

In case you missed out on the tea, it all began when Selena posted a TikTok where she revealed to fans that she had "accidentally" laminated her eyebrows too much.

Shortly after the video, Kylie Jenner posted a closeup screenshot of her and Hailey Bieber showing their eyebrows during facetime and captioned the picture saying, "This was an accident?"

This made the two friends a target of hate as fans blamed them for mocking the 30-year-old to the extent that Kylie had to speak up, "No shade towards Selena ever and I didn’t see her eyebrow posts. You guys are making something out of nothing. This is silly."

Selena reiterated Jenner's remarks on the alleged feud and stated, "Agreed @kyliejenner, it's all unnecessary. I'm a fan of Kylie." However, the absence of Hailey's name in the message made fans assume something was fishy.

Last year in October, Hailey and Selena met at an event and embraced each other for paparazzi making it clear that the two shared nothing but love for each other but fans thought otherwise.

In February, fans hunted out an old video of Hailey reacting negatively to a Taylor Swift song to which Gomez commented, "So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game."

Although her comment was in no way an attack on Bieber, Selena's fans geared up as fighters and started spreading negativity against Hailey.

Soon after Selena bid farewell to fans in a TikTok video where she announced a break from social media saying, "I'm 30, I'm too old for this, so. But I love you guys so much. And I will see you guys sooner than later, I just... I'm just gonna just take a break from everything."

Only recently Hailey's stylist posted a hateful message on his Instagram story that read, "I hate Selena Gomez." Although this wasn't straight from Hailey herself fans made her the object of hate in response to the story.

But all's well that ends well. It seems like fans no longer have to speculate anything since both Selena and Hailey have shared their side of the story which in no way expresses negativity for the other but only love and respect.
