Tom Cruise: Still Doesn't Play A Part In Daughter Suri’s Life After All These Years

It looks like Tom Cruise, 60, and his daughter Suri Cruise, 16, are not in contact with each other. According to Page Six, the Mission: Impossible star hasn’t seen his 16-year-old daughter in a long time and is uninvolved in her life.

However, representatives for Tom Cruise did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment right away. It’s common for celebrities to take some time before they respond to media inquiries.

It’s been quite a while since Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, 44, were together and welcomed their daughter Suri into the world in April 2006.

Unfortunately, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes went their separate ways in 2011, and after their split, the bond between Tom and his daughter Suri became weaker and weaker.

During his 2012 defamation lawsuit against Bauer Media, Tom Cruise revealed that he hadn’t seen his daughter Suri for three months after his split with Katie Holmes.

In 2012, Tom Cruise filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Bauer Media, accusing them of claiming that he had abandoned his daughter Suri after his divorce from Katie Holmes. However, in 2013, Tom settled the lawsuit against Bauer Media.

In 2013, while speaking to lawyers, Tom Cruise acknowledged that things change after a divorce, and “it’s not an ideal situation” for anyone involved. He admitted that it’s not easy and far from an ideal scenario.

While going through the lawsuit, the Top Gun star admitted that his involvement with Scientology was a significant factor in why he and his daughter Suri separated.

During the interview, when Tom was asked if Katie Holmes left him to protect Suri from Scientology, he confirmed that it was one of the assertions.

In 2016, Scientology was blamed for keeping Tom Cruise and his daughter Suri apart. As per the rules of the controversial church, members are prohibited from associating with nonbelievers, which allegedly made it difficult for Tom and Suri to spend time together.

Therefore, since Katie Holmes and Suri were not Scientologists, Tom Cruise could not maintain a relationship with either.

In a 2020 interview with The Post, ex-Scientologist Leah Remini claimed that according to Scientology, Katie Holmes is deemed an “enemy” and, therefore, Tom Cruise cannot have a relationship with their daughter Suri.

Leah Remini, a former Scientologist, shared her belief that Tom Cruise may be waiting for Suri to become older so he can introduce her to Scientology.“I’m sure his master plan is to wait until Suri gets older so that he can lure her into Scientology and away from her mother.”

But despite all the drama with her dad, Suri is living everyday life with her mom in New York City.

Katie Holmes opened up about her priorities as a mother in a 2017 interview with Town & Country. She emphasized how important it was for her to provide her daughter with a stable upbringing, saying, “My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now.”

During the, she expressed how she feels blessed to do what she loves, but seeing her child thrive brings her unparalleled joy.“It’s very important that I’m present and she has a stable, innocent childhood. I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there’s nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed.”

Page Six tried reaching out to Katie Holmes’ representative to shed more light on the situation, but they have not received a response.
