Gwyneth Paltrow Gets Slammed Online For 'Jeffrey Dahmer Look' Civil Trial

Per TMZ, the GOOP founder is getting likened to one of the most high-profile criminals of all time.

Gwyneth quickly had fans mocking her appearance and comparing her to Jeffrey Dahmer, who murdered and dismembered 17 young men back in the 1970s.

Much of the mocking, which has been happening on the social media platform Twitter, stems from the eyeglasses Gwyneth chose to wear for her court appearance." I like her serial killer vibe," one user wrote, with another saying: "Dahmer Effect."

Noting the Sliding Doors star's booming GOOP wellness brand, one user mentioned the company in their comment.

"Gwyneth Paltrow is literally going for the #Dahmer look at this ski accident trial... wtf? Not very on brand for @goop," they wrote.

Gwyneth is facing legal heat after a 2016 skiing trip to Deer Valley Resort in Park City, UT. Sanderson. Optometrist, Terry Sanderson, claims that the actress crashed into him, caused major injury, then just skied off!

Terry claims to have suffered "permanent traumatic brain injury, 4 broken ribs, pain, suffering, loss of enjoyment of life," per Fox News.

The statement continues, alleging that Paltrow "got up, turned and skied away, leaving Sanderson stunned, lying in the snow, seriously injured."

The resort where the alleged incident takes place does have rules to protect everyone skiing. You must "stop at the scene and render reasonable assistance" if needed, something Gwyneth is clearly being accused of not doing!

Retired healthcare worker Terry is suing Gwyneth for $300,000, although she is counter-suing with a claim of her own.

Meanwhile, a legal expert weighing in on the case has told Fox:

"We all have a duty to use reasonable care to avoid injuring others. And it's defined really simply as what would a reasonably careful person do in a similar situation."

Gwyneth is literally pulling 180 degrees as she claims that Terry was the one crashing into her!

Gwyneth was photographed entering the court in a $595 turtleneck sweater from her GOOP brand. She went for earthy tones and sleek pants look, keeping it understated for the occasion.

Gwyneth may be facing heat, but she still made sure she was a brand ambassador via her pricey and trendy outfit.

Gwyneth is a mother of two, sharing kids Apple and Moses with ex, Chris Martin.

The legal expert dishing their opinion continued:

"The person who's asserting this claim is going to have their work cut out for them, because… they have to establish and convince a jury that she really was acting unreasonably."

In the run-up to the court day, Gwyneth kept busy on Instagram, promoting her GOOP brand.

The actress made sure to alert fans to Vitamin C skincare products from her best-selling and pricey range. Gwyneth joins celebrity entrepreneurs including Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, and Kylie Jenner.
