TV Networks Reject Amy Robach And T.J. Holmes' ‘Desperate’ Return Bid

Sources have informed The Post that T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, former co-hosts of GMA3, are finding it difficult to return to television as major TV networks are avoiding them. 

The pair reportedly makes "desperate" attempts to get back on the air. Still, CBS Media Ventures, responsible for popular daytime broadcasts such as Dr. Phil and The Drew Barrymore Show,  has declined their talk show proposal.

Insiders have disclosed that CNN was also approached by T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach's talent agency, CAA, but turned down their pitch last month.

A TV expert has expressed skepticism about the duo's prospects, questioning their expertise and suggesting they would be willing to accept any opportunity, even hosting a game show. 

The expert also made a sarcastic comment about the couple's infidelity scandal, hinting that it might not be a suitable topic for a talk show.

According to a source, T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have broadened their search for opportunities to a talk show. They have approached several entertainment companies, including Fox Entertainment and Fox Television Stations, for a syndicated show. 

According to an insider, the meetings were set up by CAA, and although several parties, including Fox, attended them, the insider believes that no one is taking them seriously. The insider added, "I don't think there's any substance to it."

Representatives for CBS, CNN, and Fox declined to comment on the matter. Similarly, representatives for T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have yet to provide any comments. 

Page Six recently reported that T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have been pitching a show similar to the one hosted by Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. 

The couple has also approached the producers of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. According to sources cited by Page Six, the duo has been promoting their on-screen chemistry, which previously had more of a "brother/sister" dynamic but has now shifted to a more romantic one. 

Insiders have described further details about T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach's pitch as "vague," with the possibility of a TMZ-style gossip show also mentioned. However, according to a source, the duo has been telling executives that they are open to being whatever is required of them, indicating a lack of a clear direction or plan.

The insider added, "One thing is certain; they cannot pursue a career in news." The source believes that T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have lost their credibility as news professionals due to reports exposing their extramarital affair, leaked photos, and allegations that Holmes had engaged in similar misconduct with junior staffers at ABC News.

The revelations surrounding the adulterous affair between T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach triggered an investigation by ABC News, which resulted in their dismissal from the network in January. 

Although the probe findings were not made public, both Holmes and Robach hired lawyers to negotiate their exit packages.

According to a source familiar with the situation, the media attention and paparazzi are constantly following T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have affected their judgment as they attempt to make a comeback on TV. 

The source noted that the couple appears to see themselves as a high-profile celebrity couple like Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton or Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, despite being relatively unknown to the general public. 

T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach's pursuit of new TV opportunities comes after they received severance packages from ABC News when they were fired from the network. It is unclear how much they received, but sources close to the situation suggested that the amount may not be sufficient to sustain their lavish lifestyles and high-profile divorces indefinitely.

Despite their financial challenges, the couple has been seen on several romantic getaways, including a recent trip to Mexico. They were also spotted running the New York City Half Marathon together over the weekend.

Amy Robach recently finalized her divorce from actor Andrew Shue through mediation, with the split reportedly being amicable. Meanwhile, T.J. Holmes is still in the process of settling his divorce from his wife of over a decade, Marilee Fiebig, who is a lawyer. The former couple shares a 10-year-old daughter named Sabine.
