Gisele Bündchen Breaks Her Silence on Tom Brady Split

Gisele recently opened up to Vanity Fair about her divorce from Tom, blasting rumors that she gave the NFL star an ultimatum, forcing him to choose their marriage over his sporting career.

In the interview accompanying a stunning cover shoot for the magazine's April 2023 issue, the model described the speculations surrounding her and Tom's split as "very hurtful."

"Wow, people really made it about that. What's been said is one piece of a much bigger puzzle. It's not so black and white," Gisele began.

The mom of two then cleared the air, noting that she had nothing against Tom. Gisele said she had always cheered for the football player and would continue to cheer for him.

The beautiful diva further explained that she wanted her ex-husband to be the happiest person in the world, achieve, conquer, and have all his dreams come true.

Gisele continued to vehemently deny that their divorce had to do with Tom's decision to U-turn on his retirement from the NFL, claiming that their split was due to a more innocent reason.

The model explained that it was normal for some couples to grow together and for others to grow apart. Next, Gisele relayed that when she and Tom first met, they wanted to do things together.

However, as time went by, they realized they wanted different things and eventually had a choice to make. However, Gisele said it didn't mean they didn't love each other again.

According to the model, it meant that for anyone to be authentic and truly live the life they wanted, they needed to have someone who could meet them in the middle.

Gisele also furiously shut down any suggestion that she is against football, confessing that she loved watching her former husband on the field.

The supermodel even defended Tom's lackluster final season with the Buccaneers, seemingly blaming their losses on his teammates.

Above all, Gisele didn't fail to debunk the rumors that she had moved on with Tom's friend and real estate developer, Jeffrey Soffer. 

Gisele said she had nothing to do with Jeffrey and had not seen him in six months. Gisele concluded by emphasizing Jeffery was Tom's friend and not hers. 

Tom and Gisele were first romantically linked in January 2007. The pair walked down the aisle on February 26, 2009, after dating for two years.

A few years later, the former couple welcomed two children, son Benjamin and daughter Vivia, making Tom a father of three — he shares 15-year-old Jack with actress Bridget Moynahan.

Unfortunately, on October 28, 2022, after 13 years of marriage, Tom and Gisele took to their Instagram stories to announce their split. 

The former couple's announcement came after weeks of speculation that their marriage was on the rocks, with many tying the issues to Tom's decision to unretire.

Meanwhile, Gisele may not be dating anyone soon as she focuses on two key aspects of her life: her role as a mother and reigniting the fashion career she put on hold.

Since announcing her split, the model has already appeared in a high-profile campaign for Louis Vuitton, another for shoe brand Arezzo, and appeared on the cover of Vogue Italia. There will surely be more to come from her in the coming months.
