Rick Allen Of Def Leppard Breaks Silence After Florida Attack

Rick Allen of Def Leppard was allegedly assaulted by a 19 year-old, Max Hartley, Ohio teenager last week while he was smoking a cigarette some hours after the band performed at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel.

The rockstar put out a statement on Sunday giving positive updates about the incident and its effect on him.

Rick is full of appreciation and thanksgiving as he went on to thank several people for supporting him through such a trying time. “Thank you everyone for your overwhelming support. Your love and prayers are truly helping.”

“My wife Lauren [Monroe] was thankfully not with me at the time of the incident. We are together now, and working on recovering in a safe space.”

ABC News disclosed that Rick and his family are focusing their attention on healing for everyone and not on justice for vendetta.

Rick Allen has recalled that there is more. He told ABC News to join them in their effort to transcend from chaos and fright to empathy and kindness.

Rick further stresses that he understands this tragedy could serve as a trigger to a lot of people. 

However, he leaves an encouraging message for his fans. 

Rick concluded his speech by appreciating his fans, veterans, and first responders in the international community.

“We are thinking of you all. Together with love, we can all get through these difficult times.”

Rick failed to mention the name of the teenager whom the police asserted that allegedly assaulted him.

Rick focuses on getting better without paying attention to the cause of the pain. Maybe he is up to something or he has let go.

Yes, he is. But some fans around the globe are not happy to hear that his assaulter was granted bail. 

One person wrote, “Why was the assailant allowed to post bail? Wishing Rick Allen a speedy recovery.” 

Another person wrote, “I just learned about Rick Allen, drummer of Def Leppard being attacked outside a Florida Hotel by some 19 year old punk kid. I would like to send prayers for Rick and the woman who came to his rescue who also was attacked and had a speedy recovery. What's wrong with these kids today?”

Ellen Dreyfuss seems more concerned about his health than the incident. She wrote, “Sending lots of love and prayers for a speedy recovery to Rick Allen. I hope he will be okay, you guys.” 

The police revealed that the assault wasn't a mild incident. Rather, it is brutal.

Hartley is blamed for bum-rushing Rick Allen at a hotel and pushing him to the ground and going as far as beating up a woman who tries to interfere.

Hartley is charged for battery and other offenses for now.
