Rock Icon, Rick Allen, Is The Victim Of An Alleged Attack At Hotel

A teenager attacked Rick Allen outside the Four Seasons Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, where he was staying during his visit to the area.

The alleged attack left the one-armed drummer of Def Leppard injured and shaken.

The teenager who allegedly attacked Rick Allen has been identified as Max Hartley, from Cleveland, Ohio.

Rick Allen was outside the hotel smoking a cigarette when Max Hartley allegedly attacked him.

According to an arrest report obtained by TMZ, Max Hartley was lying in wait behind a pole outside the Four Seasons Hotel before he ran towards Rick Allen.

Max Hartley allegedly ran towards Rick Allen at full speed, striking him and knocking him backward before slamming his head on the ground.

A woman came out of the hotel to try to help Rick Allen after he was allegedly attacked, but Max Hartley also knocked her to the ground.

According to the arrest report, Max Hartley grabbed the woman by the hair and dragged her back outside the hotel after she tried to run back inside.

Max Hartley fled to another nearby hotel after the alleged attack but was ultimately arrested after allegedly damaging numerous cars in a parking garage.

Max Hartley has been charged with elder abuse, battery, and criminal mischief.

Rick Allen has reportedly provided a statement to police and has said that he wants Max Hartley prosecuted for the alleged attack.

Def Leppard has not yet released a statement regarding the alleged attack on their drummer.

Not the first time Rick Allen lost his left arm in a near-fatal car accident in England in 1984 when he was just 21 years old.

Doctors initially reattached Rick Allen's severed arm after the accident, but it had to be amputated later due to an infection.

Despite losing his arm, Rick Allen continued playing drums with a specially designed kit and has become one of the greatest drummers ever.

Def Leppard was in South Florida to co-headline a concert with Mötley Crüe at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
