Will Smith was spotted visiting life coach Jay Shetty almost a year after the infamous Oscars slapgate. The 54-year-old actor, who is facing a 10-year Oscar ban, took his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, and mom-in-law, Gammy Norris, to drop by Shetty's Love Rules show.

The Smiths, along with other celebrities, visited Shetty to support his show. The famous life and relationship guru shared some snaps of their reunion on Instagram and thanked everyone for their love.

Transformational Evening

Shetty's show is described as a transformational evening that focuses on healing and finding love. As the show's synopsis states, "Jay will take the audience on a journey of finding, keeping, and even letting go of love. Including live meditations, experiments, and demonstrations, this will be an unforgettable and transformational evening."

Replaced By Halle Berry

The visit comes after Smith was replaced by Halle Berry to present the Best Actor and Actress category this year, which were awarded to Brendan Fraser and Michelle Yeoh.

The 10-Year Oscar Ban

Smith was forced to resign from the Academy following the Chris Rock slapping incident. He was also banned from attending the Oscars for 10 years.

His Statement

“I betrayed the trust of the Academy. I deprived other nominees and winners of their opportunity to celebrate and be celebrated for their extraordinary work. I am heartbroken,” he said in his statement.

The Slap

During last year's Oscars, Smith shocked the whole world when he interrupted Chris Rock in the middle of a comedy bit and slapped him on stage. Rock made a joke about Jada's shaved head, which Will didn't take lightly.

Keep My Wife's Name Out Of Your Mouth

Rock was left stunned by the unexpected blow but still managed to keep the show going, while Smith yelled to keep his wife's name out of Rock's mouth.

Defending Jada

Smith came to the defense of his wife, who has been struggling with hair loss issues because of her alopecia diagnosis.

Going Bald

The 51-year-old actress shared her struggles on Red Table Talk back in 2018."It was terrifying when it first started. I was in the shower one day and had just handfuls of hair in my hands, and I was just like, 'Oh my god, am I going bald?'" she said.

She continued, "It was one of those times in my life where I was literally shaking in fear. That's why I cut my hair and why I continue to cut it."

Following the public assault, Smith sent out an apology to Rock. “The list of those I have hurt is long and includes Chris, his family, many of my dear friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and global audiences at home," he said in his statement.

“I was out of line and I was wrong,” Smith added. He explained that the emotional outburst was triggered by the joke about Jada's medical condition.

Going Into Hiding

Smith went on a months-long hiatus after the incident and reportedly had to go to therapy so he could unpack what happened.

Chris Rock Fights Back

Rock has remained quiet but ultimately spoke about the slap in his Netflix special, accusing the Smiths of practicing "selective outrage."

Selective Outrage

"Everybody that really knows, knows I had nothing to do with that s--t. I didn't have any 'entanglement'. His wife was f--king her son's friend," he said in the comedy special, referring to Jada's romance with singer, August Alsina.

Entanglement

In the hour-long special, which was broadcasted live on Netflix, Rock took aim at the couple and put the blame on Jada's past "entanglements."

He ended the show with a simple explanation of why he didn't fight back when he was hit. “You know what my parents told me? Don’t fight in front of white people.”

Will Reacts To Chris Rock's Jokes

According to reports, the Smiths are NOT happy about Rock's statements in his stand-up special.

"Embarrassed And Hurt"

A source told ET that while they didn't watch the show, Will is embarrassed and hurt by Rock's jokes about his family.

Time To Move On

The report also stated that Will has already apologized to Chris and just wants him to let it go so that everyone else can move on too.
