Nicky Hilton Rothschild Celebrates Paris Hilton's Journey Into Motherhood

"She is on cloud nine. She is such an incredible mother," Nicky told PEOPLE at the 16th Women in Film Oscars Party. "She was born to do this, and I'm just so happy for her."

Nicky, who has two daughters with James Rothschild, added that baby Phoenix has not met his cousins yet, as the families live on different coasts.

They have been planning to come together and let their babies meet each other soon. "When my kids have spring break in a few weeks, they're going to come here and meet their new cousin."

Nicky has been a supportive little sister, despite not being part of the surrogacy process, which Paris kept a secret from her whole family.

Paris shared her baby surprise on an Instagram post last month. The 42-year-old businesswoman posed with her newborn and husband, Carter Reum.

"Baby Phoenix. Our whole entire world. 💙," she captioned her post, which gained over 4 million likes.

In a statement made to PEOPLE, Paris shared her excitement to start her new family. Being a mom has always been her dream. "We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy."

Paris tied the knot with venture capitalist, Carter Reum, on November 11, 2021. The two started dating in 2019, after Paris called off her engagement to Chris Zylka a year before.

She has dated many eligible bachelors in the past but she calls Carter her soulmate. “When you find your soulmate, you don’t just know it. You feel it,” the Confessions of an Heiress said on Instagram. “I said yes, yes to forever. There’s no one I’d rather spend forever with.”

The lavish ceremony was held at Paris' late grandfather's Bel-Air estate. She wore a total of four gowns for the star-studded event, which had a three-day celebration. Some of the stars in attendance included Demi Lovato, Nicole Richie, and Kim Kardashian.

She started the in-vitro fertilization (IVF) process during the height of the pandemic. It seemed like the perfect timing since the lockdown forced her to clear her schedule and slow down.

"We started going and doing it like a few months in because the world was shut down," she told PEOPLE. "We knew we wanted to start a family, and I was like, 'This is perfect timing. Usually, I'm on a plane 250 days out of the year, and let's just get all of the eggs stocked and ready,' and we have tons of them just waiting."

The Stars are Blind singer also shared that her friend Kim Kardashian was the one who introduced the idea of IVF to her. She even connected her with her IVF doctor.

It was tough at first, says Paris, but her husband has been supportive every step of the way.

In an interview, she expressed her excitement over moving on to the next chapter of her life. "I really do believe that having a family and having children is the meaning of life," she said.

Paris kept her surrogacy process a secret from her family. She revealed that even her mom, Kathy, didn't know until Phoenix was about a week old.

She explained that because she has been in the public eye all her life, she wanted to keep this special journey private.

"It was really nice to have that with Carter, be our own journey together. I just feel like my life has been so public, and I've never really had anything be just mine," Paris said in a podcast.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star recently posted a heartwarming photo with her new grandson on her Insta.

She also sent a statement to PEOPLE congratulating the couple on their new bundle of joy. "We are so thrilled for you both! Thank you for this perfect addition to our ever-growing, beautiful family."
