A mother-in-law recently banned her daughter-in-law from her home over a disrespectful comment about her foster children. The daughter-in-law did not consider the foster children as real family and did not feel comfortable spending Christmas with them. The mother-in-law, who has been a foster parent since her biological son was four, took a stand for her children and told her son that his wife is no longer welcome in her home.
While her husband believes this may cause a wedge in their relationship with their son, the mother-in-law believes it is important to stand up for her children and not let anyone exclude them from the family.
What do you think? Is the mother-in-law the a**hole in this situation?
