The shocking confessional sent shivers down so many spines, as the only things we've heard of their unconventional marriage were just rumors, but this put a whole new perspective into their marital life.
The mom of two revealed she developed a friendship with the singer following his illness. At that time, the family knew him as Jaden Smith's friend, who also needed help with his sickness, and the Smiths were there to offer him support.
The confessional comes after Jada and Will denied August's claims that Will gave August his blessing to be with Jada.
The actress continued that as time went on, she and Alsina began to see themselves in a different light and explored their connection on a deeper level.
"As time went on, I got into a different type of entanglement with August."
Following Jada's confession, both parties admitted they were in a bad place during their marriage and decided to separate for a short period.
Jada also refuted August's claims that Will gave her permission to step out of their marriage.
According to Jada, "The only person that can give permission in that circumstance is myself. But what August was probably trying to communicate because I could see how he could see it as permission because we were separated amicably, and I think he wanted to make it clear he's not a home wrecker, because he's not."
It took that relationship for a broken Jada to realize that true happiness lies within.
"I was in a lot of pain, and I was very broken. In the process of that relationship I definitely realized that you can't find happiness outside yourself."
The rapper and singer admitted he was in love with Jada and even sat down with Will to discuss the transition from their marriage to a life partnership.
Following the confessional and everything that followed, Jada and Will have taken another step in their relationship and have gotten to a place where they have unconditional love for each other.
The couple stepped out for the Oscars in 2022, hosted by Chris Rock. However, things turned dramatically when Rock made a G.I. Jane joke referencing Jada's alopecia.
The Men In Black actor didn't take the joke lightly and didn't hesitate to give him a slap on stage. He returned to his seat and yelled, "Keep my wife's name out your f****** mouth!"
