Looks like comedian Chris Rock hasn't moved on from the Oscar incident. To refresh your memory, Rock was dealt a resounding slap by Will Smith in the middle of a bad joke. Rock is letting out his anger in a live stand-up special one year later.

Keep reading for details.

Letting It All Out

The comedian and 2022 Oscar host let out all the heat from his dramatic encounter with Smith at last year's Oscars in his new stand-up comedy special on Saturday night.

Why Did Chris Rock Get Slapped

The slap happened when Rock made fun of Jada Pinkett Smith's hair. Remember, the actress has been public about her struggles with alopecia for a while now. The comment struck a wrong nerve in Will, and he rose to his wife's defense.

However, the 58-year-old said the slap wasn't because of his comment. He accused Smith of being selective with his anger, and he only reacted because his wife allegedly had an affair.

Jada's Confession

Rock mentioned that Jada only confessed to engaging in an affair while interviewing her husband. He said, "His wife was f***** her son's friend."

The comedian claimed he still has ringing in his ears from the slap and takes solace in watching Will get beaten in his feature film, Emancipation.

"I got smacked at the f****** Oscars by this motherf*****. And people are like "Did it hurt?" It still hurts. I got Summertime ringing in my ear f***** drums."

Closing The Show

The audience waited for him to address the issue publicly since it happened finally, and after about 2 hours, he closed the show by speaking about it.

"You all know what happened to me, getting slapped by Suge Smith. Everybody knows, everybody f****** knows."

Not A Victim

The actor boasted that he didn't see himself as a victim even while slapped and chose not to talk about it on shows until now.

"But I'm not a victim, you will never see me on Oprah or Gayle crying you will never see it, like, I couldn't believe it and I love Men in Black. No, it's never going to happen."

Jokes About Will's Size

The comedian also acknowledged that he couldn't have gotten into a brawl with the actor on stage as he was bigger than him.

"Will Smith is significantly bigger than me. We are not the same size. Will Smith does most of his movies with his shirt off. You've never seen me do a movie with my shirt off. If I'm in a movie getting open heart surgery, I'm in a sweater."

The comedian didn't spare himself as he made jokes about his small frame and the characters he's played in movies.

"Will Smith played Mohammed Ali in a movie, you think I auditioned for that part? He played Mohammed Ali, I played Pookie in New Jack City. I played a piece of corn in Pootie Tang. S*** even in animation this motherf****** [is] bigger: I'm a zebra, he's a shark."

The Red Table Talk

Rock also referenced the red table interview between Jada and Will in 2020. He wondered how Will was able to deal with the fact that Jada confessed to cheating on him in front of the whole world.

Misplaced Anger

He insisted the actor should have channeled his anger somewhere else, instead of hitting him on stage over a harmless joke.

Boycotting The Oscars

He revealed that Jada approached him to quit the Oscars in 2016, as the Girls Trip actress even had plans to boycott the award ceremony as part of the #OscarsSoWhite protests.

"I shouldn't host because her man did not get nominated for, the biggest piece of s**** ever. She starts it, I finished it."

A Huge Fan

Rock didn't fail to admit his love and admiration for Will and his talent during the show.

"...I watched him open for Run DMC at the Nassau Coliseum. I have rooted for Will Smith my whole life."

Why He Didn't React

The comedian answered the question running through everybody's lips. He chose not to react at the spur of the moment because he was raised right and taught not to "fight in front of white people."

Jada's Affair

The actress revealed she first met August Alsina through their son Jaden. According to her, the 23-year-old singer was sick then and needed help. She was moved to help him get better, health-wise and mentally.

A Difficult Time

Jada continued that she and Will were going through a difficult time in their marriage, and Will also confirmed he was done with her at that period.

"We found all those different resources to help pull him through and from there, you and I were going through a very difficult time."

Will probed Jada further. She then admitted she got into "a different type of entanglement with August."

No Permission From Will

Jada also refuted August's claims that Will gave her permission to have an affair, insisting that "the only person that can give permission in that circumstance is myself."
