Melissa Gorga Reveals Teresa Giudice's Kids' Big Change

Teresa's four daughters were once close to their uncle, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa, but sadly, the siblings' ongoing rivalry has seemingly caused tension among the younger generation.

During the February 28 episode of The Real Housewives Of New Jersey, Melissa opened up about how she and Joe's ongoing rift with Teresa negatively affected their kids.

Teresa is a doting mom to four daughters, whom she shared with her ex-husband, Joe Guidice. The kids are Gia, 22, Gabriella, 19, Milania, 17, and Audriana, 14.

On the other hand, Melissa and her husband, Joe, share three children: two sons Gino, 15, and Joey, 12, and a daughter, Antonia, 17. 

During the recent episode, Melissa went to Teresa and her man, Luis Ruelas', Love Bubble party, but sadly, things didn't go how she would have liked it.

At the party, Melissa tried to have a conversation with nieces Gabriella and Gia, telling the duo how much she missed them.

However, things were too awkward between them, with Gia crediting the awkwardness between Melissa and Teresa's daughters to not having seen their aunt in a very long time.

In a confessional, Gia explained that the children automatically got separated whenever her mom and uncle Joe had drama. "Like a wall just goes up," she added.

Later into the episode titled Housewarming History Lesson, Melissa was seen crying in the bathroom over the cold shoulder she received from Teresa's kids.

In her confessional, the reality TV star acknowledged the coldness between them, adding that it was heartbreaking.

The mother of three further explained that she was sad because she loved Teresa's daughters but deep down inside, she knew the girls had nothing but hate for her.

Melissa went ahead to emphasize her certainly about her nieces' feelings, adding that she felt terrible about it and wouldn't wish such a situation on anyone.

As for Melissa's husband, he skipped the event, saying he wasn't ready to see his estranged sister amid their still volatile relationship. 

Despite Joe's reason, Melissa told her co-stars that she felt sad about her husband's refusal to show up. According to the RHONJ star, it was Joe's only family, and it sucked that he wasn't around.

Later, Teresa and Luis gave a speech, thanking guests for attending their event — but not without a shady remark from the television personality.

During the speech, Teresa revealed that everyone present was special, adding that they were their "chosen family." RHONJ's Margaret Joseph immediately called Teresa's comment "a sick thing to say."

Margaret explained to Teresa that "chosen family" wasn't the right thing to say as she was well aware that her brother wasn't present, adding that it was hurtful.

After hearing what Teresa had to say, Melissa excused herself from the party and went into the bathroom, where she broke down in tears over their strained relationship.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs on Tuesdays on Bravo, and fans can't wait to see the drama that is to unfold in the next episode.
