Trouble For Travis Scott - NYPD Look to Question Rapper Following Club Incident

Earlier in the day before the incident at club Nebula, Travis Scott and Don Toliver were spotted to have been having a show at Irving Plaza. Everything was still cool at the time.

The pair, Scott and Toliver, apparently took the show's afterparty 25 blocks to the south at Club Nebula to enjoy the rest of the night when the alleged physical altercations occurred.

As the night got darker at Club Nebula, eyewitness reports claim Travis Scott got into a heated argument with the club's sound engineer — leading to a physical dispute. The 31-year-old rapper is alleged to have damaged sound equipment, including video screens and speakers, worth up to $12,000.

At about 3:25 am early Wednesday morning, the officers from the New York City Police Department had been called about the disruption going on at the club involving Travis and the sound engineer. Following a statement from the NYPD, the sound engineer had said, "he was involved in a verbal dispute with" Scott."

While investigations are still ongoing, the police department is reviewing surveillance footage from the club. Witness reports accuse the rapper of escalating the dispute "into a physical altercation." According to the NYPD, "Travis Scott punched the victim with a closed fist on the left side of the face," — which would be regarded as an assault.

Scott's attorney, Mitchell Schuster, has clearly denied any claims involving the rapper in his statement regarding the incident. In his words, "While this is clearly a misunderstanding being blown out of proportion by clickbait and misinformation, we are actively working with the venue and law enforcement to resolve and set the record straight."

Club Nebula managing partner, Ritchie Romero, speaking with Fox, made his own statement about the situation. He said, "This is blown completely out of proportion. It was a great night." While Dorian Harrington, Toliver's booker pal, also stated, "This is a total misunderstanding, and what I saw on stage doesn't reflect what I read in the news."

Schuster, Travis's lawyer, trying to free his client of any possible charges or links to the altercation, said he is working to resolve the situation with the venue and law enforcement. He further added that he believes Scott will be "cleared of any wrongdoing."

The incident at the Times Square hotspot club by Travis Scott would not be the first outburst by the rapper. Insider sources close to the rapper admitted that he has a hot temper and "snapping at the DJ" is something he can do.

Mark, the sound engineer, stated that Travis had been playing the music at the club so loud that it affected the sound quality. Eyewitnesses testify that while the DJ tried to fix the sound by lowering the volume, Travis snapped in rage at him.

As the situation heated up and one witness began to film the incident, the rapper slapped the phone from the fan's hands — damaging it.

Mark, as the sound engineer preferred to be called, while giving his statement on his hospital bed, said Travis "stuck his middle finger in my face." Recounting the incident, he added, "So I lowered the monitor a little bit so I could talk to him, and that's when he ran around the speaker and attacked me."

While speaking to Fox 5 on his hospital bed, Mark stated he had issues moving his head. In his words, "My neck is f**ked up. My arm is tingling. I have pins and needles going down it."

Reports claim that police are still searching for the Sicko Mode singer. It remains unclear, at the moment, if Travis will have any civil lawsuits coming his way for the alleged incidents.

The Goosebumps singer, Travis Scott, is still under scrutiny for his last concert, the 2021 Astroworld music festival, which caused a lot of injuries and casualties. While he has been lying low ever since the concert, the club Nebula case isn't looking too good for the rapper.

Following the incident at his 2021 Astroworld concert, the overcrowded fan stands led to the death of 10 victims and several others with injuries. Fox News reports that the rapper would cover all the affected fans' funerals and other expenses.

After the traumatic event of the concert, Travis finally got to do a sit-down with Charlemagne Tha God in an interview to discuss what had happened. In his words, he said, "I didn't know the exact details until minutes before the press conference [after my set], and even at that moment, you're like, 'Wait, what?'" Further adding, "people pass out, things happen at concerts, but something like that …"

Remember Scott and Kylie Jenner's relationship? That's over now. According to an insider, the reason for their break up in January was due to Travis's hot temper and anger issues. The source told The Daily Mail, "Travis's anger issues are not anything new and were a huge part of why Kylie and he broke up."

Further adding, "she [Kylie Jenner] is such a peaceful and quiet person, and he was the opposite. She could not handle it anymore. He has exploded on several occasions and anyone who knows him knows about his temper."

Amidst the entire escapade surrounding rapper Travis Scott, he is slated to headline at Rolling Loud festival this weekend at Hollywood Park Grounds in California. Travis will mount the stage on Saturday, just after his fellow rapper Kodak Black performs the day before.
