Selena Gomez Admits Shame Over What Happened After 'Wizards of Waverly Place'

Selena was a guest on the podcast Wizards of Waverley Pod, where she spoke out to hosts Jennifer and David DeLuise.

Getting honest, the Rare Beauty founder stated: "I felt ashamed of the decisions that I made."

Gomez continued: "I didn’t want you guys to see me in the state that I was in, because a) you would have told me the truth, which terrifies me, and b) I didn’t want to let you down."

Of her costars, the ex-to-singer Justin Bieber continued: "I appreciate you guys dearly. I love you so much in a way that I’ve never loved anybody else." Selena is known for being a mental health warrior and for being an open book regarding both her anxiety and her depression.

Noting that she felt emotionally "safe" with her former costars, the Wolves hitmaker concluded:

"I felt safe and that’s a really hard thing for me to feel… I know you guys love me for me…You guys genuinely loved me, and that’s all I could have asked for."

The latest from Selena comes as she continues to make headlines for online drama involving ex Justin, plus the Canadian's 2018-married wife, supermodel Hailey Bieber. Selena is currently taking a TikTok break, however, she is still active on Instagram.

“I’m going to be taking a second from social media, because this is a little silly,” Gomez said. "I’m 30, I’m too old for this. But I love you guys so much and I will see you guys sooner than later.”

Fans of Jelena, the moniker used for Justin and Selena, have been backing the singer and actress all the way. Even mogul Kylie Jenner has gotten involved!

This isn't the first social media break Selena has taken. The star is the most followed woman on Instagram. She is known for putting her mental health and, when needed, stepping away from the social media spotlight.

Selena does not, however, shut down Rare Beauty's IG. The brand is adored and known for its charitable edge. A portion of the profits goes towards a mental health charity.

1% of all sales from Gomez' makeup company go to the Rare Impact Fund. The Texas native joins celebs including Kylie Jenner, Lady Gaga, Halsey, and Ariana Grande in running a cosmetics brand.

While Selena had deleted the above image, she just reposted it, writing: "I deleted this one time because I thought maybe it was too much but eh (taking a break from social)."

Quick to reply was model Emily Ratajkowski, who said: "Never too much!"

Fellow model Cindy Prado also jumped in, saying: "Just enough."

Selena just keeps on winning. She's also posted a "get ready with me" for her Rare Beauty brand just this week!
