It was a rollercoaster ride for Selena Gomez this past week. The star seemingly deactivated her TikTok and even made a video confirming her exit from social media for the time being, but now she is back on the content-creating app.

Wondering why she deactivated? It all began last Tuesday when the actress posted a picture of Bella Hadid, and practically adored her beauty.
The star used a fan-fav Bella Hadid-inspired filter and then lip-synched to a popular video of her saying, "so my name is Bella Hadid," and then captioned the video, "I wish I was a pretty as Bella Hadid."
She also posted a picture of the supermodel on her Instagram story, and declared the model as her #girlcrush.
Because of her action, TikTokers and social media users, in general, are shocked by Gomez as both of them had famously been in a relationship with The Weeknd and speculations of a "beef" between them have sprang up for the longest time.
Hadid has not responded to Gomez's posts, both on Instagram and TikTok.
In her usual self, the actress proceeded to talk about an error she committed with her eyebrows.
According to her, she accidentally laminated her eyebrows too much, but things took an interesting turn when a certain celebrity entered the chat.
Jenner then uploaded a selfie, perhaps as a reply to Gomez's video, and wrote on her eyebrows, "this was an accident???"
Gomez's fans quickly connected the dots based on the reality star's caption placing and speculated that Jenner was throwing shades at Gomez over the eyebrow incident.
Jenner didn't stop there. She also uploaded a screenshot from a FaceTime call with Hailey Bieber (the last name should sound familiar), and they both zoomed in on their eyebrows.
The shade is no longer hidden because Hailey is married to Bieber, Gomez's ex. The two women have had a long history of feud between then since Gomez and Bieber went their separate ways in 2018.
To add salt to injury, Bieber and Hailey got married months after the separation happened, forcing their fans to accuse the married couple of seeing each other behind Gomez's back.
However, Gomez and Hailey tried clearing up news of any beef between them when they were pictured together at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles last year.
The fans then focused all their attention on Jenner after she uploaded the video and pictures accusing her of trying to cause drama.
These claims prompted the makeup mogul to give a piece of her mind and clear the air.
"this is reaching, "Kylie replied to a user's comment on Tiktok who called her and Hailey "childish." She continued
"no shade towards Selena ever and I didn't see her eyebrow posts! u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly."
Selena also agreed with Jenner's comments and wrote,
"Agreed @Kyliejenner. It's all unnecessary. I'm a fan of Kylie."
Gomez struck again on Thursday as she left a shady caption on a viral clip of Hailey's reaction to Taylor Swift's name being mentioned in 2017.
The model was co-hosting Drop The Mic and was seen faking a gag when her partner mentioned Swift's name.
The Good For You Singer then came to her friend's defense, replying, "So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game."
This response sparked mixed reactions among her followers, who believe Bieber has always been spiteful toward Gomez. Some also felt Gomez was a hypocrite for constantly trying to rile up fights between her and Hailey.
Following a large amount of controversy trailing her actions, the star announced she was quitting social media for a while, in her words.
“I’m gonna be taking a second from social media, ‘cause this is a little silly. And I’m 30, I’m too old for this… I’ll see you guys sooner than later, I’m just gonna take a break from everything.”
She deactivated her TikTok but resurfaced a few hours later on Thursday evening and even commented on a fan's page.
The Golden Globes-nominated singer is also currently the most followed woman on Instagram.
