Richard Gere Hospitalized With Pneumonia In Mexico

This 73-year-old man did wonders in the film American Gigolo, which is no doubt why he was nominated for awards an immense number of times---not just nominated but also won prizes! A true legend.

Richard has been known for some ups and downs in his personal life, although his marriage with Alejandra Silva has been going pretty smoothly since he put a ring on her in 2018.

Age doesn’t define love! We guess the real example of this quote is Gere and his Spanish girlfriend, Silva, whom he married later. Despite their age gap of 33 years, this beautiful couple decided to start a family.

Puff magic! We know everything about celebrities, even which should have been a secret, but did Richard forget he is a celebrity? I mean, thanks to the paparazzi who like to sit on celebrities' couches! Pretty casual for people like HIM, no?

On 17th Feb 2023, Alejandra Silva shared a beautiful photo taken from the back, holding hands with her two children, whom she shares with her husband, Richard Gere. 

This adorable picture was shared on her Instagram page, captioned with, "thank you all for the birthday wishes," she continued the caption. "After almost three weeks of everyone being sick in our family, I finally feel much better today! Thank you for all the love ❤️ I give it all back to you!"

How sweet! This is Richard’s real life happily ever after, we all witness.

This peaceful getaway trip to a tropical paradise was a family vacation where Alejandra looked stunning in a flowy aqua-blue dress.

But, sadly, Richard’s bad cough ruined the vacation. As Silva already mentioned, the family had been swamped by sickness. It looks like Richard didn’t fully recover and got worse.

As I said, there is no such thing as secrecy. How would it be when people keep us updated about their lives through social media, EVERYTIME? When it comes to famous people, even their coughs make headlines. 

And the same thing has happened now, as well. So how, when, and what happened to the most famous star?

Richard’s cough continued while he was on vacation, intending to enjoy the breezy waves of the ocean. He felt something was wrong, and it was when they had to get a checkup in a hospital.

Since Richard felt like it wasn’t some regular flu, his perspective was correct. He was diagnosed with pneumonia after reaching the hospital and getting a checkup.

The doctors suggested he stay overnight for the treatment to take place ASAP. Meanwhile, his vacation was ongoing, and he took treatment side by side.

Luckily, he got discharged the following day and was prescribed some antibiotics to help him feel better.

Richard’s wife mentioned on her Instagram page that he is doing much better than before. Good news! That made the fans relieved.

Along with the caption ‘Beach Day, ’ Alejandra posted a story of her in a yellow dress, Richard and one of their toddlers. How adorable! This picture will surely cheer your day.

Richard was seen taking precautions as he strolled down a pathway with his family wearing a face mask.
