Orlando Bloom Gets Real About Relationship With Katy Perry

If you have been living under a rock, the two stars made a beeline for each other during the 2016 Golden Globes afterparty. Soon enough, both were seen together in public, dressing up as couples on Halloween, posting on Instagram, and celebrating Thanksgiving.

The love-induced haze popped for the superstars in 2017 when the couple broke up. It was evident how both spent their time separately at the annual Vanity Fair Oscars party.

"Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time," a statement to PEOPLE from both of their reps read.

Much to the fan’s relief, the couple rekindled soon enough.

We had Katy flash her fun flower-shaped engagement ring at us! Orlando is reported to have popped the question on Valentine’s Day in 2019.

The internet had yet to take a break from the funky couple’s non-stop display of romance when in 2020, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove.

With the sweet moments between the two having glimpses floating around the internet, Orlando’s statement in a recent interview was quite startling.

Conversing with Flaunt for the publishing of a new profile this week, the Lord of Rings star revealed the troubling aspect of his relationship with the Eye of the Tiger singer. With two creative personalities — that remain ever-popular in the music and acting industries —  co-habiting must make it tough to keep the relationship floating.

Bloom appreciates the couple’s success in understanding each other’s evolving requirements, especially as creative people. Referring to Katy, whom he calls “Baby mama and life partner,” she is stressed about his dangerous antics.

“We’re in two very different pools,” he states, adding the drawback of having distinctive social circles.

“Her pool is not a pool that I necessarily understand, and I think my pool is not a pool that she necessarily understands. Sometimes things are really, really, really, challenging. I won’t lie.” The Pirates of the Caribbean actor continues to indicate how troubling his relationship can get, honestly.

Before he could be misinterpreted, Bloom elaborated that the issues he has faced with Katy are ones he is grateful for. “We definitely battle with our emotions and creativity, [but] I think we’re both aware of how blessed we are to have uniquely connected in the way that we did at the time that we did,” explains the star.

He also indicates that “there’s definitely never a dull moment” between the two due to the conflicts they have successfully resolved.

Bloom’s and Perry’s success as a couple is also reflected in how the former’s ex-wife, Miranda Kerr, has always had positive things to say about Perry!

Married from 2010-2013, Miranda and Orlando share a 12-year-old son. Despite the separation, the two have maintained a mutual friendship, co-parenting their son. This friendship was further strengthened with the addition of Katy to the family.

During an appearance on Moments with Candice Parker, Miranda reminisced how she had immediately gotten along with Katy.

She went even as far as to state, “I mean, it'd be safe to say that I love her more than Flynn's dad.”

With the unique rock adorning Katy’s finger and a daughter they adore - we expect to hear wedding bells soon from the couple!
