A source confirmed to PEOPLE on Friday that the actress is still very angry at the rapper, but she's committed to seeing that they iron out their differences.
"Megan is still upset but is not giving up on their relationship. He feels the same way. They are getting professional help because they want things to work out."
Another source reported that the actress found suspicious messages and DMs on the rockstar's phone, which sent her into a rage.
They were spotted heading out of a marriage counselor's office last week, and a teary Megan wiped tears from her face as MGK followed closely behind, looking visibly upset.
They were also together on February 14, celebrating Valentine's Day in each other's company. They sat next to each other in a car, and Fox was captured looking down while Kelly stared at his phone in the driver's seat.
The Transformers actress sparked rumors of a breakup during the Super Bowl weekend when she deleted all pictures of MGK from her Instagram account and followed three famous men, including Eminem, MGK's sworn enemy.
She posted a few slides of herself and a burning letter, which she accompanied with a shady caption suggesting that some infidelity may have gone down.
“You can taste the dishonesty/ it’s all over your breath,” she wrote, a lyric to Beyoncé’s song Pray You Catch Me from the Lemonade album.
Fans quickly swarmed the actress' comment section, trying to find out who could have caused such serious damage to the relationship.
Fox also responded to a comment suggesting that it went down with Sophie Lloyd.
“He probably got with Sophie,” the Instagram user wrote, to which Fox fired back, “Maybe I got with Sophie.”
Fox then pulled the final move by deleting her Instagram account and hasn't returned since then. However, with all the news filtering around, they seem to be handling things away from the wandering eyes of social media.
Fans then stormed the guitarist's timeline, calling her unprintable names and a "home wrecker." as a reaction to Fox's statement.
The Wednesday statement continued.
“Any suggestion that she has ever acted in an unprofessional manner or stepped out of her relationship are untrue. It’s disrespectful to her as a female artist and poor journalism and social commentary to be reporting anything else.”
The guitarist is currently in a five-year-old relationship with drummer, Christopher Painter, and they do not shy away from PDA as he constantly supports her on social media and tours with MGK and his band.
Painter and Kelly are very good friends, and he has even come out to defend the rapper many times on social media, including shutting down rumors of him being with Lloyd in the past.
The couple began their relationship in 2020, shortly after she finalized her divorce from actor Brian Austin Green whom she was married for over a decade and shared three sons with.
MGK proposed to the actress with a thorned ring in 2020, less than two years after they became official. He told the media that the ring would hurt if she ever tried to take it off.
The Emo Girl star earned his first Grammy Nomination at the just concluded Grammy Awards held on February 5 in Los Angeles. While he didn't win, Fox showered encomiums on him on her Instagram.
The superstar was in a publicized relationship with Amber Rose before getting together with Megan Fox. It lasted for just three months in 2015. He has also been linked to Halsey, Kate Beckinsale, Noah Cyrus, and DJ Chantel Jeffries.
The 32-year-old artist, whose full name is Colson Baker, shares a 14-year-old daughter with Emma Cannon.
