Boyd decided to call it quits and filed for legal separations citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for her decision. She lists the date of their separation as September 2021, which means they've been at it for a while.
Boyd, who starred in an episode of Togetherness in 2016, is asking the court to grant her spousal support in the divorce settlement.
In the documents, Boyd is seeking legal and physical custody of their boy. However, she will allow Bam to have supervised visitation rights, as long as he pays the bill, and the visitation happens within L.A. County.
The pair got married in October 2013 and have a five-year-old son, Phoenix.
The Jacka** star was pronounced "dead" in December after suffering four seizures, according to a revelation made in January.
The 43-year-old was placed on hospital admission after suffering from coronavirus, and he bit his tongue during a seizure attack.
"I basically was pronounced dead on Elvis' birthday, December 8th. I did not know that I had gnarly COVID. My body was shutting down, and I went into four seizures, each one lasting 10 to 20 minutes, and on the fourth one, I bit my tongue so hard, it was nearly falling off."
Bams drank some infected blood after this incident, and that gave him severe pneumonia.
"It got so swollen and puffy, it wouldn't fit in my mouth, and I was drinking the infected blood, which gave me pneumonia as well, so when the shaman took me to the hospital, I went into my fifth seizure, and I couldn't breathe without a tube down my throat."
He revealed he didn't know he had been on the hospital bed for about a week, as he blacked out throughout most of it.
"I woke up five days later thinking I was there for a couple of hours. They're like, dude you've been here for nearly a week. We tried to take the tube out, and you weren't breathing on your own."
He thanked his fans for their love and support right after he was released from San Diego hospital after the incident.
According to Boyd's lawyer, David Glass, to TMZ on Thursday, she was present when Margera came to see Phoenix, and she claimed he was acting inappropriately and under the influence.
Margera denied these allegations, claiming he was totally sober at that time.
The former professional skateboarder has been in and out of rehab since 2009 for his substance abuse.
Asides from his constant visits to rehab centers, the 43-year-old has also made headlines for escaping court-ordered rehab facilities on many occasions. He recently left one where he claimed he wasn't being treated with decency and didn't like it there.
The TV personality was arrested for driving under influence in 2018. He stopped to talk to officers, and they smelled alcohol during their conversation, causing them to give him a field sobriety test. He was booked, and his bail was set at $15,000.
Prior to the news of this divorce, he was spotted grabbing lunch with the late Lisa Marie Presley's mom, Priscilla Presley, and they shared their little date on Instagram.
His former co-star, Steve-O, who has been sober for 14 years now, also recently publicly begged him to get medical help for his addiction.
Steve-O alleged that the Viva La Bam alum got high on illicit substances after appearing on his show. He referenced how his actions have gotten in the way of him being a good father to Phoenix.
"You say you want to have a relationship with your son, but your actions guarantee the exact opposite will happen."
Steve-O expressed his fear of Margera dying due to a drug overdose or drug-related issue in a since-deleted comment.
“I wish you could know how much I’ve hated feeling braced for news of your death, but you’re making it clear that I have no other choice."
He rounded up his rant by telling Margera
“You’re dying, brother, and it sucks that I can’t do anything to save you.”
The Jackass alum appeared on Steve-O's ongoing XXX-rated comedy world tour, Bucket List.
