According to sources that spoke to TMZ, her friends, husband Sam Asghari, manager, and medical professionals rented a house in LA where the intervention would go down, and she'll receive proper medical care for about 2 months, which will help her get better, but someone in her camp pulled the plug.

People with direct contact with the singer revealed that the intervention was long overdue as the 41-year-old posed much danger to herself and those around her. They described her as a ticking time bomb and were grateful that someone was finally taking steps to resolve her issues.

Worries That She Might Die

Another source expressed worry that the mom of two may lose her life if immediate care isn't taken.

"I worry about waking up in the morning and feeling like I'm going to get a horrible phone call."

There's alleged anger among those who want an intervention for her due to the plan not coming to fruition, but they're not giving up on getting her help.

Deja Vu?

A third source notably told TMZ that her current situation feels like 2008 all over again, with serious worry that she may self-destruct or even harm someone.

"She is abusing caffeine, Adderall, and anything she can get her hands on. She is not taking her medication, which is essential to stabilize her mood and is unknowingly trying to self-medicate with other substances, which is exacerbating her mental illness."

Untreated Trauma

The source continued that the Toxic singer has untreated trauma from her past, perhaps due to the 13 excruciating years she spent in the conservatorship program with her father.

"She has unbelievable untreated trauma that with the help of therapists and specialists could put her in a much better place. An intervention is essential to make that happen."

Sam Asghari

Asghari came out on Thursday to debunk reports of any intervention stating that the singer can make decisions for herself in any situation and that the news of her mental health struggles is overblown.

He urged the public to desist from making assumptions about her health as it's distasteful and very uncomfortable.

Spears herself also denied claims of any troubles and mentioned she'll likely delete Instagram since no one wants to see her do well, insisting that she's focused on getting better for herself and is not all about the negative energy.
