A day after hitting back at critics following her Grammys appearance, Madonna stepped out in an edgy look on Thursday afternoon as she shared several pictures of herself donning a distressed Canadian tuxedo and making a profound statement.

Madonna looked fierce in a ripped jean jacket and matching pants as she posed up a storm and promoted her 2005 hit song Sorry. She paired the look with several silver necklaces, cross earrings, and a black lace crop top showing off her perfect midriff.
She rocked a Bandolier crossbody phone case with the look and paired it with knee-high socks and matching black leather boots. Her toned thighs made an iconic appearance through the shredded pieces of the pants as she played around her studio.
She wore her long dark tresses in two braids as she kept her makeup bold with smoky eye makeup, deep eyeliners, and rich rosy lips as she showed off her style on her Instagram story.
Following the uproar about her almost "unrecognizable" appearance at the Grammy Awards, she had a few things to get off her chest in a lengthy Instagram post.
The Holiday singer claimed the close-up from the long lens camera distorted her face, making it appear rounder and puffier than expected.
The mother of six added that she'd been caught in the glare of age shaming and misogyny in Hollywood.
"Once again I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny that permeates the world we live in."
The singer called it an honor to introduce Kim Petras, who also got an award for the night alongside Sam Smith for the Best Pop Duo/ Group Collaboration Category.
Petras and Smith are the first openly trans person to win a Grammy.
Madonna revealed she chose to introduce Petras rather than present the highly anticipated Album of the Year Prize as she thought the former moment was important to pop culture and fits her trailblazing status in the industry.
She expressed her anger at those who chose to ignore her speech and the moment but rather channel their interest to her appearance.
"Many people chose to only talk about close-up photos of me taken with a long lens camera by a press photographer that would distort anyone’s face!!"
The star continued that she lived in a world that refused to celebrate women past 45 and declared she wouldn't apologize for her creative choices or how she looks and dresses.
"I understand that this is all a test and I am happy to do the trailblazing so that all the women behind me can have an easier time in the years to come," as she reiterated her commitment to looking fierce as ever.
