Mental Health Issues And Drug Abuse

The superstar's mental health issues and drug abuse have reached a crescendo. This has posed enough problems for the people closest to her that they have had to plan a mini-intervention. According to TMZ, a source close to Britney has expressed fears that the singer may die if they don't act fast.

Multiple sources have revealed to TMZ that everyone around the Gimme More singer has become very worried by her erratic, volatile behavior, as she has been taking drugs that "hype her up."

The source continued to tell TMZ that she has been acting out of control, "flying off the handle" regularly and refusing to take medications that'll help stabilize her condition.

The Intervention Team

Her manager has reportedly rented a property in L.A. for several months and plans to lure her up there. When she arrives, he, her husband (Sam Asghari), doctors, and an interventionist will be present and do their best to convince the mom of two to receive the help she needs.

Other Family Members Are Not Involved

Jamie Spears, Lynee Spears, and her two sons are not involved, and the intervention was meant to go down on Tuesday. Spears was scheduled to live in the rented house for two months while she received intense medical treatment and psychological counseling.

Change In Plans

However, that plan changed on Tuesday when Spears became aware, leading to the team scrapping the intervention idea. According to TMZ, different sources connected to the couple have been asked why they couldn't go through with the plan, but no answer was provided.

The source continued that Spears agreed to meet with a doctor, which happened on Wednesday afternoon. Apparently, the meeting went "well."

Britney's Manic Episode

A few weeks ago, the star put up what looked like a manic episode at a Los Angeles restaurant, raising concerns among fans. In the viral video, Spears could be heard talking gibberish as people attempted to take pictures of her. Not long after the ranting started, Asghari dashed out of the restaurant, followed by Spears.

Britney Spears Conservatorship

The star was placed in a conservatorship for 13 years after she was involuntarily committed twice. While it ended in November 2021, following the #FreeBritney movement, the judge did not order a medical evaluation, despite interventions from doctors regularly throughout the 13 years.
