Paula, who has relied on psychics, mediums, and spiritual counselors all of her life, spoke with DailyMail to announce her new collaboration with the well-known psychic platform, Psychics1on1.

She Has Always Sought The Help Of The Psychic World In Her Businesses

The pop star and choreographer, who debuted in 1988 with her album Forever Your Girl, acknowledged that throughout her long career, she had sought the guidance of psychics to clarify business decisions.

"I had been told by two different spiritual advisors and psychics that I'm going to end up doing a job - a show,' Paula recalled. '60 million albums is going to be nothing compared to a TV show that I'm going to be doing that is going to be a global success around the world."

When Did The Prediction Happen?

These shamanic readings took place three and two years before landing the American Idol gig. Paula was adamant that she didn't understand what the two different psychics were discussing at the time, but she said they were each very specific.

She reflected, referring to fellow judges Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell;

"I was told the difficulties of the job and who I'd be sitting in between."

Paula was informed that the show would be a "talent show" and that it would be a "juggernaut" that would "transcend generations."

The Prediction Came True After 3 Years

Abdul laughed as she recalled that, at the time, Star Search was the only television talent competition she had ever heard of.

"Almost three years to the time that I got this advice, it all happened with American Idol, she reflected. 'So it was, you know - it's crazy."

When She Joined American Idol

Paula joined American Idol in 2002 and worked as a judge for eight seasons, ushering in some of the biggest names in music, including Kelly Clarkson, the season one winner, and Carrie Underwood, the season four winner.

The pop star's account of how two psychic readings altered the course of her life is an integral part of her new position with Psychics1on1, where she will work alongside her longtime friend and Planet Hollywood founder Robert Earl.

"It's served me very well. I am just really all about spiritual guidance and these amazing people have helped me,' she explained and added: 'Sometimes you just need a little bit of guidance and advice."

She Has A Psychic Tool Kit

Abdul clarified that she uses readings, horoscopes, and tarot cards as part of her overall toolkit and that she does not rely solely on spiritual guidance. She remembered how it had taught her to be alert for things she might not have thought of and to pay attention to signs.
