Ashton Kutcher Speaks Up About Danny Masterson's Sex Assault Case

Ashton Kutcher isn't one to turn his back on a friend. That's why he's made a point of remaining by former co-star Danny Masterson's side, even during his darkest hour.

In the wake of Masterson's recent mistrial, the former star of The '70s Show is once again speaking out in support of his friend.

For the past three years, Masterson has been involved in an ongoing court case, stemming from rape allegations made by three separate women.

The Women Claim That The Alleged Sexual Assaults Took Place Inside Masterson's Home, Between 2001 to 2003.

In a recent interview with Esquire, Kutcher talked about how he wanted his longtime friend and collaborator "To be found innocent of the charges brought against him."

Kutcher Clarifies His Point, Reiterating That He Doesn't Want Masterson To Be Let Off The Hook.

Rather, he hopes in his heart of hearts that his friend is, in fact, innocent of all charges brought against him.

"Ultimately, I can’t Know," Kutcher Reasoned.

"I’m not the judge. I’m not the jury. I’m not the DA. I’m not the victim. And I’m not the accused. And so, in that case, I don’t have a space to comment."

Since Masteron's Legal Woes Began, Kutcher Has Continued To Keep In Touch.

Kutcher also said that he's mindful of the fact that Masterson's daughter will eventually learn of her father's legal situation, and he wants to respond sensitively to the situation.

"I wholesale feel for anybody who feels like they were violated in any way," he said.

Thorn is a non-profit that helps to combat online sex abuse. Ashton founded the company more than a decade ago.

As Far As Masterson Is Concerned, He Still Denies All Allegations.

The charges were brought against Danny in 2020 and his trial took between October and November of 2022. The case was declared a mistrial after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict.

"From day one, I have denied the outrageous allegations against me," Masterson Told 'Us Weekly'.

"Law enforcement investigated these claims more than 15 years ago and determined them to be without merit."

Masterson's retrial is set to begin at the end of March. Until that time, he is a free man, having already posted bail in the amount of $3.3 million.
