Britney Spears has gained a lot of attention over the years as fans became more and more aware of her conservatorship, which controlled every aspect of her life and finances for 14 years. In 2021, Spears was finally freed from her conservatorship, but fans continued to worry about the singer's mental health and well-being.

In January, fans became concerned for Spears after she temporarily deactivated her Instagram account. This prompted them to call the police in order to perform a wellness check, Cosmopolitan reports.

She Later Posted A Tweet Asking For Privacy.

"I love and adore my fans by this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded," Spears wrote in a statement posted to her Twitter account.

As she states, the police did not enter her home and left when they learned what was actually happening. But the media response made her feel "gaslit and bullied," as she felt she was being victimized by news outlets.
