Veteran wrestler and actor Hulk Hogan went through a traumatizing surgery that left him paralyzed from the waist down, as revealed by his fellow WWE legend Kurt Angle on a podcast last week Monday.

Hulk Hogan's Ailment

Angle revealed this information on a podcast and said Hogan couldn't feel his lower limbs after the surgery. He had nerves removed from his lower back for an undisclosed reason, and it was unclear if his paralysis resulted from the complication or an expected effect.

Hogan, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, shared a picture of himself at an event on Monday night, walking unaided, proving that he has recovered from the health scare.

The news comes as wrestlers under WWE gear up for Wrestlemania - the largest event of the year where many superstars like Angle and Hogan make an appearance amongst other pro wrestlers.

Angle further explained that when he had the nerves cut out of his lower body, he went numb and he thought he used the cane because of the pain in his back, but he didn't feel any pain, he actually couldn't feel anything at all.

Hogan himself has not publicly addressed the issue.
