Hulk Hogan Lost Feeling From the Waist Down After Surgery

Angle revealed this information on a podcast and said Hogan couldn't feel his lower limbs after the surgery. He had nerves removed from his lower back for an undisclosed reason, and it was unclear if his paralysis resulted from the complication or an expected effect.

Hogan, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, shared a picture of himself at an event on Monday night, walking unaided, proving that he has recovered from the health scare.

The news comes as wrestlers under WWE gear up for Wrestlemania - the largest event of the year where many superstars like Angle and Hogan make an appearance amongst other pro wrestlers.

Angle further explained that when he had the nerves cut out of his lower body, he went numb and he thought he used the cane because of the pain in his back, but he didn't feel any pain, he actually couldn't feel anything at all.

Hogan himself has not publicly addressed the issue.

The six-time world champion appeared at the WWE Raw 30th anniversary show in Philadelphia just last week. Angle confirmed they spoke about their individual health struggles for about half an hour.

Hogan, who has had a shiny 35-year career with the WWE Network, confided in Angle that he had lost all feeling in his lower body even after he still appeared on the stage without the aid of a cane.

Angle had experienced his own share of surgery troubles as he underwent double knee surgery last year, which left him useless and a wreck during the recovery process.

Several WWE superstars have had to retire following the devastating effects of surgical procedures in recent years. The crushing blows to the head, back, and neck, terrible landings from risky falls, and even muscle malfunction are some contributing factors to sudden retirements.

Hogan had stepped down from active wrestling in 2013 when he appeared in a match for TNA Wrestling. He was forced to retire following many injuries sustained and rounds of surgeries to fix them.
