Susan Sarandon’s Response to Daughter Eva Amurri’s Claim of Growing Up in a ‘Circus’

Weeks after Eva compared growing up in the industry to "growing up in a circus," her star mom relayed that everyone loved going to the circus. Sarandon stated that normal was overrated, and she did not see a problem with circus life. The Bull Dullham actress stated, "so I don't see any problem with that as long as all the animals don't get too out of control," she said.

The Stepmom actress made it known that life within the entertainment industry is "unusual" as she noted that kids are exposed to a lot of things. Speaking to ET, Sarandon recalled how she "dragged" her children with her whenever work called. She noted that by virtue of this, they "went all over the globe." The star mom stated that she thought that was one of the best things she gave them.

The Hollywood star continued talking about the pros of growing up in the industry as she noted that raising her kids that way helped them to be flexible and adjustable. The 76-year-old described this trait as "a really, really important thing for kids to have." She concluded by relaying that she did not feel the need for any apologies.

Eva Amurri made headlines when she made a statement on TikTok regarding being raised as the child of a Hollywood star. She explained that "people in the industry, who grew up in the industry" likened the experience to growing up in a circus sometimes. Eva explained the "surreal" moments of growing close with the people that they become family, and all of a sudden, everyone goes their separate ways again.

The Middle of Nowhere actress mentioned what she felt was "disorienting about the acting world was how everyone gets separated and ready to move on to the next big thing once the project is down." Referring to this factor as a unique experience, she stated that it could be sad sometimes.

Susan Sarandon is a mom to three children all in their thirties with Eva being the oldest. Sarandons other children are Miles and Jack. Eva is 37 years old and she followed in her mom's entertainment footsteps. She was born in 1985 to Sarandon and Italian filmmaker Franco Amurri. Some of Eva's acting credits include Friends, Californication, and How I Met Your Mother. She is a mom to three kids from her marriage to her ex-husband, Kyle Martino.

After she ended her relationship with Franck, Sarandon got into a long-term relationship with Tim Robbins. The duo was together for two decades and had Jack in 1989. Unlike his mom and sister, Jack prefers to work behind the scenes in Hollywood. He is a director, and some of his directing credits include Opening Night, Serfs Up, I've Got Levitation, and Ultimate Ultimate among others.

Miles Robbins is Sarandon's youngest child born three years after Jack. The young man has found his niche as a Hollywood actor starring in flicks like the rebooted 2018 Halloween, The X-Files and The Day Shall Come to mention a few.
