Priscilla Presley Shares Her 'Dark, Painstaking Journey' Following Lisa Marie's Death

The actress let out her feelings in a tweet saying she's overwhelmed with the outpouring of love from fans, friends, and family, and they helped her survive the loss.

Lisa Marie passed away after a night in the ICU following two heart attacks on Jan. 12. The family signed a Do Not Resuscitate waiver, so the medics didn't attempt to bring her back when she flatlined.

Since her passing, there's been an outpouring of love for the Presley family as they laid the singer-songwriter to rest last week. She's buried in Memphis, Tennessee, beside her late son Benjamin and father Elvis Presley.

During the memorial service held in Graceland, the family gave moving tributes, including a poem written by one of her three daughters, read by Priscilla. It spoke about how Lisa Marie could rest in peace now, knowing she impacted everyone's life positively.

The poem described Lisa Marie as an iconic role model, a superhero, and a good mother. Shortly after, her eldest daughter Riley Keough, 33, revealed she had a child some years ago and hoped to be a good mother like Lisa Marie was to her and his twin siblings, Harper and Finlay.

There's already trouble brewing in the family, however, as Priscilla, 77, challenged the trust document named Riley, 33, as the sole trustee following Benjamin's death. In 2010, Lisa Marie named her mother and business partner, Barry Siegel, as the trustees, but it's understandable considering Riley was in her early 20s then.

During the will reading, Priscilla discovered a codicil amending the trustees from Siegel and her to Benjamin (late) and Riley. She asked a judge to set aside the document saying it may be fraudulent based on the date and an inconsistent signature.

Lisa Marie broke ties with her former business partner following the discovery of him gutting her assets. So, it makes sense that the trust document removed him from being a benefactor. However, this new move from Priscilla puts her at odds with Riley.

Riley hasn't said anything about the latest development as she's returned to L.A. with her husband, Ben Smith-Petersen. TMZ also pictured her baby girl for the first time since the big revelation at her mother's funeral.
